fitbit charge 4 hacking nfc possible?
The device offers "fitbit pay" and functions with NFC; did anyone find a way to hack it and use the NFC module (for instance) for NFC emulation?

Should I go for button phones if I want more privacy?
I've read a lot of information online about privacy on phones. I thought to buy a flip-phone or a button phone for privacy and better productivity but as I'm reading more I begin to notice that some people say button phones don't give any more privacy.

I aspire to be a hacker, what courses should I take?
I am aware of a community college that does a network security course but I'm afraid it doesn't cover everything I need to know to become a hacker, what courses should I take to learn how to do impressive computer hacking?

Just got doxxed by DoD?!?
TL;DR: I spent a good part of my early twenties as a hacktivist. Various government agencies have contacted me over the years with every tactic you can think of (sales pitch, intimidation, etc). Today was the worst. An unknown individual doxxed me in minutes and knew every detail of my life.
I'm not hiding behind anonymity on this one. I'm whistle-blowing. I've long held the belief that to remove yourself as a person of interest in the cyber security space, you need to be noisy and too high of a risk for anyone to want to recruit you.
Over the years, I have watched friends disappear for unknown reasons. Leaving behind families and being nothing more than another missing person report. All because they had a skillset in software engineering or cryptography. I don't want to be one of them.
Today, I decided to kick up a couple of loose layers of security (VPN, vanilla virtual machine, etc) and pop into some old channels and see what the scoop was on Ukraine/Russia and the current state of the world. Within an hour of just chatting in these groups, I get a call on my cell phone (no info in the caller ID, just dashes) and a man on the other end basically summarizing my last year of life and history in tech back to me.. with then a pitch: "come work with us at the Department of Defence." I declined quickly and hung up. I'm not impressed with being doxxed, and I don't think there's anything "cool" or "exciting" about working for some three-letter agency in the US as this recruiter was trying to pitch. To be honest, this is Big Brother and it's no different than what I've seen with friends and colleagues of mine in Russia.
The US government is terrifying. Their willingness to treat people as commodities is horrendous. And despite being an optimistic patriot hoping that one day this country will be one I can be proud of... at this moment I am full of fear and despair about our country's journey.
As a hacker, I'm usually fearless because of my confidence in a cloak of invisibility. As a US citizen, I'm more scared of what my own government will do to me (i.e. indentured servant) for my skillset than I am any other power or group in the world.
Edit:
I'm not saying that I believe it's DoD either. It's possible someone is posing. But it's not me. I'm just sharing the facts in short summary and the underlying truth: one way or another it's unsettling to be contacted randomly by anyone and I have a major fear of US agencies. I'm being vulnerable and feeling so exposed. This isn't a 1337 or masterhacker brag. Quite the opposite: it shows that I'm not as secure as I so confidently thought I was.
Whoever the person actually was at the other end of the line is irrelevant. It was someone recruiting, that much is clear.. and I certainly have no reason to trust my own government, so there's no reason for me at this moment to doubt the authenticity of the claim.

I’m sure you guys have seen this a million times, but my Gmail got hacked.
So I managed to get it back after having to reset it multiple times, and that was only after I turned off both my pc and phone’s internet usage. So do you guys know what exactly happened and how I could fix it? It started in the morning and I managed to get a hold a bit later on.

Is it possible to be hacked by private networks/hidden SSIDS near your area?
My brother thinks his neighbors are watching him using private networks. He has an app that shows hidden SSIDs and says they are using these networks to see and listen to what he's doing. None of his devices have or had connected to anything else than his home wifi.
