I have a class that has completely changed from how it was previously offered. Previously the professor was using the Penetration Testing book from Georgia Weidman and was having the students work through those labs for the course. Obviously dated but the VMs used and services/applications could be easily downloaded and configured to test out in a VM lab environment. Now, he has changed the course to make the students setup Windows 10, and Ubuntu 20.04. None of the services or exploits in the book can be used. I’m just needing a few applications/services and version numbers that I can install onto this Windows 10 VM to run a metasploit exploit against in order to get a meterpreter shell. I’ve had several successful exploits but unable to establish the meterpreter shell. I don’t need walkthroughs on how to perform the exploit in metasploit.
