hacking: security in practice
wlan0 not showing up

So i am trying to connect my wireless adapter to kali linux on virtual box. I tried unplugging and plugging it back in when kali linux launches. Already enabled it in USB device filters, tried bridging it and it doesnt work. The adapter should work fine, i tried it on my older computer and it works just fine. Wlan0 is not there. Tried ticking and unticking my wireless adapter too. Still does not work . Any help? Ive tried searching on the internet and youtube and it all does not work.
