I found a flash drive and am afraid to plug it in

Among some old things I found a pendrive that I don't remember having. Is there a safe way to plug a flash drive into my computer? isolate it from my operating system? I can try it with Mac OS, ubuntu and Windows 10, and I also have virtual machines with some Linux. I have an ex who knows a lot about computers. I know she shouldn't plug it in just in case, but the curiosity is huge.

Thank you!

How to override an iCloud activation block?

A family member gifted me an iPhone X because they found it while digging through old things (they change phones like it’s nothing). They did a full wipe but the iPhone has an activation lock linked to an iCloud they don’t have the password to. Is there any way to override this block?
