<!-- SC_OFF -->Hi all, I would love some advice for the next steps in my career. I heard about pentesting as career last year and since then have been working my hardest towards it. I was lucky enough 8 months ago to land a job as Service Desk Coordinator with little prior experience. I work for a small telecommunications company that provides managed internet and phone solutions (hosted and onsite). While I have gained a lot of knowledge from this role, I think I would gain more knowledge and experience in a different role. Additionally there is almost no room to grow. I’m stumped on my next action. I’m considering going to university for a bachelor in it (computer science). Alternatively I’m hoping to get a job somewhere else that is more network focused and try work my way up to engineer/admin. I’m also 3 weeks away from taking my CCNA. Some things to note, this is in Australia, I’m 20 year old male. Roughly 1 year and half in IT. I have my A+ and currently planning on taking my ccna in 3 weeks.
