Is it easy to recover messages from WhatsApp?

OK so I had an American number for a while when in america. I had WhatsApp messages on that number now I have no way of getting access to that number. Also I deleted the messages between me and my partner and now I might need them back is it possible to get these from hacking? Contacted WhatsApp and they were no help whatsoever
