how does trantor or other eBook libraries work?

I mean, where does the files come from?

I'm asking this question because sometimes I'm surprised to find some very specific and "niche-y" books that are targetting a very specific and reduced public of a given country.

How do they get there? Is there some leak of ebooks on a given site that are then uploaded there? Is there someone who bought it and uploaded it specifically? how does it work?

Thanks!

Making obfuscated msfvenom payloads

So I’ve been working with Metasploit for some time now. I’ve tried a lot of encoders so far, base64, shikata_ga_nai, XOR and not much success, I saw a technique online using an encoder and an exe file which wasn’t half bad, on virustotal it bypassed a few AV’s, Kaspersky and a few ones but still other major AV’s detected it, Avast, Defender and others. Do you lads have any techniques or encoders you would recommend for bypassing other antiviruses. Thanks!

I have been hacked and I am scared

I visited tor and darkweb yesterday, created an account on dread and recon for the first time.

This morning someone seemed to have downloaded a file into my laptop and I am 100% sure it was not me. It was the type of dummy files with a black screen. Ever since then my screen was malfunctioning and cursor kept moving. I didnt realise it since the morning and thought there was no way to hack me.

I just realised this tonight at 9pm and quickly deleted it from recycle bin.

In the meantime of close to 12 hours, I went to alot of forums, keyed in my passwords and account details, attended a zoom class etc. Only then I realised that the cursor kept moving and on my homescreen I saw this file and deleted it from recycle bin.

What sort of details would the said hacker have extracted from me? What can I do to prevent anymore damage from happening?

Apps that track mobile locations WITHOUT first notifying the targeted mobile phone user

I KNOW It's not hacking so if there's a better Reddit to post this on please redirect me. I'm trying to find the address of a close friend who needs some extra support and practical help leaving the premises of an abuser (non violent help, may I add.)

All I have is her number.

None of her friends that I know have her location as she's been manipulated to stay away from her friends since the start of the relationship, having moved location live with the abuser. I've heard about apps that can do this but it's strikes me as an invasion of privacy..but since apps and and IT industry in general is very shiesty about terms and conditions Im determined to find an app that finds location with number alone, I'm sure this exists somewhere. I don't have a working PC but as a long shot is there any software that can be used to ping her mobile to track it?

This is emotional abuse, not physical. Yes there are children involved (the abusers children who also live in the household). Unfortunately the criminal justice system disregards emotional abuse and even physical abuse unless it's led to hospitalisation as a consequence.

Thank you for reading.

About some screenshots that appeared in my desktop

Hey guys, I need help with some screenshots that appeared in my desktop. I just realized it appeared in my desktop and I can't remember taking these screenshots, I'm kinda bugged by that, because I don't know the pattern of the way it's named:
- ScreenCapture20210813_204636_815.bmp
- ScreenCapture20210813_204637_174.bmp
- ScreenCapture20210813_204631_914.bmp
- ScreenCapture20210813_204635_392.bmp

(It's 4 screenshots, taken/saved at the same time apparently ~9:46:35 AM~)
I tried saving some screenshots, but I can't find this name pattern.
Any of you guys can recognize this name pattern?
If needed I can provide any info about logs or about these images.
Glad for the help! :)
