Systems engineer and admin wants to get into pentesting...
https://www.reddit.com/r/Pentesting/comments/orht4l/systems_engineer_and_admin_wants_to_get_into/

I am a systems engineer and admin who recently thought about the direction in which he should expand his skill set or his career. The cybersecurity division smiled at me a lot, so I’m now trying to figure it out. More precisely, I am currently trying to forge a path for myself to acquire pentesting / ethical hacking skills. I am currently exploring sources of learning that could help me with this, and it's not that easy. Much of the beginner stuff is far too basic for me and the non-beginner resources (at least the ones I've stumbled upon so far) already require certain knowledge in the field that I don't have. About my skills: As a systems engineer, I'm a (self taught) jack of all trades and master of none. Network basis and analysis, Windows (server) environments, including large ADs and multi forests, web applications, Powershell, Bash and Python scripting, Kubernetes / Openshift, basic security knowledge to harden my systems, ... have to do with it regularly and know here minimum the basics to integrate and administer systems. The area where I would most likely see myself as some kind of an expert is the Linux area, especially Red Hat systems. In short, I have extensive and holistic IT knowledge, but it goes only deeper in a few areas. So I look for a book or an online course that assumes that you already have a good foundation of IT knowledge (minus programming; I write Powershell, Bash and Python scripts regularly to make my work easier, but I'm far away from being a programmer ) and takes you straight into the world of ethical hacking / pentesting, without wasting most of the time building the IT base. I would really appreciate a few suggestions as an entry point :-) submitted by /u/NihilisticTanuki (https://www.reddit.com/user/NihilisticTanuki)

Rconn - Rconn Is A Multiplatform Program For Creating Generic Reverse Connections

rconn (reverse connection) is a multiplatform program for creating reverse connections. It lets you consume services that are behind NAT and/or firewall without adding firewall rules or port-forwarding. This is achieved by creating a connection from the node behind the firewall/NAT to a port on your local machine, and then a port is exposed in your machine through which you can connect to the service that is behind firewall/NAT. All traffic is routed through the initial connection that was opened by the machine behind firewall/NAT.Building Build with: go build. Explanation Say your IP address is 11.11.11.11, and you've got machine 22.22.22.22 behind firewall/NAT and you want to connect to it via RDP. First you'd have to make sure your RDP server is running, normally on 3389. Now the problem is you can't connect to 3389 from outside because of NAT or firewall. Then in your local machine you'd have to run this: rconn -s 1111 2222 And in the machine behind firewall/NAT you'd have to run this: rconn -c 11.11.11.11 1111 127.0.0.1 3389 Now you can connect to your own port 2222 with an RDP client, this will effectively be same as connecting to 22.22.22.22:3389. Usually most firewalls allow all outbound traffic but if this is not the case then you can try 80 or 443 instead of 1111. Download Rconn

How to create yor own pandemic causing virus

If you want to create your own virus this is how you would do it. Mind you, when I say "create" I mean "modify." Even the famous coronavirus was not "created" but rather just a modified version of the virus that existed in bats. It is actually impossible to create a virus because the virus is a living thing, and we can't create life from non-life (yet, if ever). So it's actually very simple and you can do it from home. Here is what you will need:

1. a sick animal
2. a few healthy animals
3. a healthy male and female human
4. a humid dark room between 65-75 F

So the goal here is to recreate the conditions in nature that would cause a mutation. What you would need to do is put 1-3 in the humid dark room and make them fight and scratch each other and eat each others shit and piss until the male and human female get sick. Now you have caused a mutation and you can let the two human subjects out into a wet market or somewhere that it would have an easy time spreading and bam, you have a pandemic.

Im freaking out!

Long story short:

- I entered Chathub, met a girl. She was real i sent her my FAKE instagram profile made with a FAKE hotmail account.

-in the PM I sent her some rather sensitive photos, she liked them but she started suddenly readining (we're still on cam in chathub) some names that I DO NOT HAVE OR FOLLOW on my fake accounts, those names were friends and family members IRL. I'm wondering how is it possible in the span of literal seconds that she discovered some of my contacts?? im freaking out, any recommendations?

I think i'm getting hacked. What do I do ?

I'm not someone that checks on my emails as often so I didn't notice it , but when i opened it today , I realised someone has been trying to get on my steam account but kept failing . So i paid not much attention.

But after like 30 mins , i kept getting spammed on my email , saying that someone has requested to change my Epic games account password and for some reason , they succeeded in changing it everytime. So i changed the password and added a 2fa to it and also changed the password on my email.

Then it was all silent for a few hours , but now i'm getting even more mails from Steam saying they have a message for me , Postmates email of me signing up an account and now Uber .

edit: YOOOO MY MAILS ARE GETTING DELETED RIGHT INFRONT OF ME . The hacker is SOMEHOW in my email wtf what do i do
