hacking: security in practice
Escaping a firewall
Hi, I would like to know more effective and interesting ways to get out of firewalls, like the great wall of china or a office with blocked traffic.
Thanks

Hello, I'm currently in school getting my AA so I can transfer to a uni to get a degree in computer science, with hopes of having a career in pentesting. I have very limited knowledge on any of the technical side of computers. And only learned the very basics of html on codecadamy a couple years ago. Would it be benificial to go to different cyber security, pentesting, ect. Conferences (when they start happening again after covid is handled) or would everything be way past my compression level and not be much value to me. I was hoping it would be one of those things that you surround yourself in it, and at first you might not understand much but the more and longer you are surrounded in it, you start picking up on things, kinda like if you went and lived in a different country, and started aculmating to their culture and picking up what certain words mean just by context and reppetion of other people saying it. Also is there much of a community aspect to these convtions, like how difficult would it be for me to network and talk to people where they would offer me advice and resources, Ive got Asperger's so initiating conversation are rather hard for me to do, but I think I could probably force myself to of the environment is something where that kind of thing, talking to strangers , is commonplace and part of the convention. Or if it's more so everyone has there own little groups of people they know and everyone keeps to themselves and does their own thing Also do you guys know by any chance if their is something out their that is kind of like a mentorship, education program, for pentesting/cyber security. Like where it's like a school type program that is in person not online where they teach you how to become a pentester and assist you with the process of learning, and help you find a place to work, ect. I've been trying to find a program like that although I haven't rly found any that seem to be a good idea, all I kind find is certifications, which ppl say are moreso for proving that you know something and also to raise your skills to a more advanced level, not for beginners to learn. Or bootcamps which from what I've read is, not very effective, sometimes not for beggenners, ussaly geard twords coding not pentesting, online, and not always valued by employees and dosent set you up for getting a job submitted by /u/superfroggy20010 (https://www.reddit.com/user/superfroggy20010)
