Pi Black Box

Thinking of setting up a kindve back box mobile monitoring system of sorts. I would use an LTE/GPS hat so i can access it through SSH or VLC wherever it is and also make sure it doesnt get stolen. It would be outfitted with a decent battery to keep it portable and since i cant 3d print parts it would be in a waterproof case.

It would be attached to 2 of those cheap rtl sdr dongles allowing demodulation of both digital and trunked signals as well as a high gain wifi antenna.

I suppose my question is what kindve problems might i run into making this kindve project im obviously not going to use it maliciously and im not planning on transmitting radio just recieving. I just want a portable means of monitoring nearby signals that can be set and forget and accessed by any of my other devices.

Annoying neighbor

Hi Reddit! So I live in this block of flats and the neighbour at the ground floor installed a camera pointed at the main entrance without asking anyone. I feel awkward that everytime I go out with my dog or when I go out with my friends that neighbor may watch me. I tried talking to him and convince him to rotate it so that the camera will only capture persons that are at his front door. He didn't want to. As a bonus yesterday he put an extra camera at his living room window that sees everyone passing by our block of flats. I feel like i don't have any privacy. What can I do (legally) to taunt him and make him stop recording everybody's actions? I have a basic understanding of Kali Linux. The camera seems to be a wifi one as it has a small wifi antenna.

I believe my brother is suffering a psychotic break--he thinks his phone is being hacked.

I understand this may not be allowed per group rules, since I know nothing about hacking, but it's a doozy on the human interest side. In short, my little brother began believing he and his family are being followed, that his wife is hacking his phone (and others) and has gone down internet rabbit holes talking about hidden links and overlays and hidden meaning in text within apps. He has sent me the following photos. I've tried to tell him there is lots of default tracking app/info on phones--people/apps/companies do track you, but that's actually a normal part of apps these days.

https://imgur.com/a/3ULVJDf

He has accused his wife of hacking/tracking him, and she 'admitted it' to him--via saying "prove it" and then she LEFT TOWN WITH 5 OF HIS KIDS, only three of which are hers. Police won't let my mom file a missing person's/kidnapping because she at some point said he assaulted her.

If my partner accused me of something so outlandish, I'd probably skip town with all the kids too.... but if I'm trying to help my little brother, so who can I send him to to look into his phone and prove that everything is normal (or I guess, if something is actually legitimately wrong?) Are there any companies that would provide such a service?

Do you guys think the Hak5 Elite Field Kit is worth $500?

I’m working towards a degree in cybersecurity and I have wanted to get more serious in the technical aspect of the job and familiarize myself with some of the gear I may be working with in the near future. Is this kit worth buying for someone like me or is there another kit/product I should get? Would it be worth it to buy individual pieces as time goes on or pick up the whole thing right now? Thanks
