Indian Grandmasters Gukesh Dommaraju and Divya Deshmukh made India proud by winning two gold medals each at the 2025 European Chess Club Cup.
Gukesh represented Team Super Chess, which clinched the Men’s Team Championship.
Divya played for Cercle d’échecs de Monte-Carlo, helping the club secure the Women’s Team Championship title.
Both players also earned individual gold medals for their outstanding performances on their respective boards.
Nihal Sarin too earned an individual gold medal, adding to India’s strong performance in the tournament.
