Police cleared Nathan Road, called out as “triad” by citizens

1955 Police officers present at the junction of Nathan Road and Argyle Street once returned to their police vehicle, as welcomed by cheers from the surrounding crowd, but they soon stepped out again and advanced towards Yau Ma Tei. With the aid of loudspeakers, the Police demanded people on the roads to leave, but there was no one else except for themselves and reporters. Nearly a hundred riot police moved onto the sidewalk as they advanced, during which they kept drumming their shields with batons and shouted at reporters, "Walk faster! Don't stand in our way!"

As the riot police kept advancing along Nathan Road, some police officers boarded the police vehicle and left the scene at the said junction. Passersby spectating nearby kept calling the riot police as “triads”, to which police officers responded “louder!” Nathan Road is now clear and protestors have dispersed.

A line of police vehicles were stuck in traffic, with two of them under a footbridge. A group of riot police stood guard around the two vehicles with rifles and long shields, as civilians on the footbridge shouted “Triads”. Suddenly, a rubbish bin fell from above in three dissembled pieces, hitting one of the police vehicles. One riot police immediately turned around, pointed his rifle upwards at the civilians on the footbridge, and fired a shot. A CTS 12GA Model 2581 Super-Sock bullet case was left on Mongkok Rd.

“Although we bleed, we get hurt, we sacrifice a lot, but this is a chance for our freedom and dignity. I can’t let it go. We can already smell the scent of freedom.
I know everyone’s exhausted, but we don’t have a choice. If we lose, we lose everything.
I hope one day we can all take off our masks and give each other a hug. On top of all, we won’t have to see any of us be harmed, bleed, or get hurt.
Let’s build a new Hong Kong that’s beautiful and free, a Hong Kong that belongs to Hongkongers.”
