Hongkongers and Taiwanese Sing Hong Kong Protest Anthem in #Taiwan

Tens of Hongkongers including novelist Chan Wai were wearing yellow helmets, holding yellow umbrellas and displaying slogans and flags reading "Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our times"at Taipei Railway Station on May 23.

Yi Hsiang Shih, the vice secretary-general of the Taiwan Association for Human Rights initiated to sing "Glory to Hong Kong".

Netizens in Taiwan organised a sit-in at noon to expresse their hopes that Taiwan Railways would not permanently ban passengers from gathering in the public space inside the lobby.

Since Feb 29 2020, officials has banned passengers from sitting on the ground because of COVID-19, and it was even rumoured that the ban would become permanent. On 20 May, Taiwan's Ministry of Transportation and Communications stated that the ban would end once the pandemic is over.

Over 400 participated in the demonstration and various activities such as singing, boardgames, took place.
