The government announced its latest plans to use the East Kowloon General Out-patient Clinic, surrounded by a few mass housing estates, as a designated hospital for Wuhan coronavirus patients, triggering protests by nearby residents. On the intersection of Hammer Hill Road and Ping Ting Road, some riot police arrived and by raising the yellow flag, threatened prosecution to the though protesting, yet peaceful residents.

A few police vehicles stood alert on Po Kong Village Road, with officers in riot gear patrolling nearby areas.

More reinforcements arrived, with more than 40 riot police arriving at the scene. A police vehicle headed into Fung Shing Street, where a Disciplined Services Quarters was located.

More riot police entered Fu Shan Estate, a public housing estate, to disperse residents inside.
