What happened on August 31, 2019?


On August 31, 2019, Hong Kong Police indiscriminately attacked passengers in Prince Edward MTR Station. It is suspected that police had caused and covered up death cases since then. Until now, the MTR company still refused to release the surveillance camera footages to clear the suspicion while the police also failed to clear the public's worry with their denial.

Police Order Citizens to Kneel and Raise Hands in the Lobby of Private Resident Building

In Tuen Mun at around 10pm, police 'raptor' squad entered
a residential building Yat Sang House of Siu Hin Court, a private housing estate. In the lobby, the riot police commanded over 10 residents in casual wear to kneel down and face the wall with their hands up, in order for them to be searched and investigated.

In the evening of October 30, police arrested at least 67 citizens in Tuen Mun from residential building, lightrail station, shopping centre and even shop.

Barrister Criticisies Police Using Unscrupulously Obtained Passcodes to Enter Private Residental Properties

Regarding the police using passcodes of unknown origins to enter Blossom Garden in Tuen Mun to pursue citizens and fire tear gas, Barrister Albert Luk criticised such acts as inappropriate and unreasonable. He stressed that unless there is an emergency, the police are not allowed to enter private properties to enforce the law.

He also pointed out that a person would have committed loitering for using passcodes of unknown sources to enter buildings, if the person is not a police.

Police Banned Certain Members of the Press from Press Conference; Reporter reprimanded by management

On October 28, police suspended their press conference after a journalist requested the police not to impose violence on members of the press. (Read: https://t.me/guardiansofhongkong/9327) The police demanded the journalist to leave.

After resuming the presser, a journalist from Hong Kong Economic Journal (HKEJ) suggested to proceed into question and answer session directly. Superintendent Ko Chun-Pong of Police Public Relation Branch (PPRB) reprimanded the reporter and demand him to leave.

The reporter was later warned by the HKEJ management. Another HKEJ reporter was fired by the newspaper during the current movement, due to the editorial stance.

What happened on August 31, 2019?

In addition to attacking citizens, police forbade first aider from rescueing the injured citizens in the MTR station.

The first aider in the video begged the police to let him into the station to help the wounded ones. He cried so much and sid that he could trade everything for a chance to get in to save more people.

Later on, the police relunctance to reveal the actual condition of the concourse and the fire services department's inconsistent number of injury cases raise question over the potential deaths that might have been caused and covered up by the police.
