The next day, mourners, old and young, gathered at Causeway Bay to commemorate his martyred act against tyranny, placing white chrysanthemum on the spot the incident happened.

Three young mourners are stopped and searched. Police threatened them that they would be arrested under the Covid gathering ban (Cap. 599G), and must dismiss at once. Meanwhile, a foreigner asked the Police Media Liaison Cadre the reason they has been blocking the whole area.

When replied that they blocked the area under the gathering ban, the foreigner questioned whether it is appropriate to block a road to enforce a gathering ban, to which the Cadre suddenly shouted on their microphone, “Please leave!”
