Separation from Families and Freedom Despite the Full Moon

A couple looked at their city on top of Lion Rock on the Mid-Autumn Festival that symbolizes reunion.

They listened to the theme song of a local TV drama which is famous for the line "our city is dying", as the light box next to them displayed words and images alluding to Hongkongers' concern about the 12 Hongkongers detained in China and other injustices in society.

"Under the full moon
I stand with my love
Upon the rock of endurance

The 12 are still lost
Nothing lasts forever
Just as dawn would come once more

May I cherish this moment
Hold you tight from the side
So that I don't fret
So that you stay in my mind evermore"

#Ode to Hong Kong Pro-democracy Movement

The video is a visual and audio poetry produced by the pro-democracy Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions (#HKCTU) on the second anniversary of the population's fight for democracy in June 2021,

The music video captures many objects representative of events that took place over the course of the 2019 #AntiELAB movement.

The #lyrics of the #song go:

"I light up the madman's candle
And follow the ants into the crowd,
There is nothing recognizable in the scenery anymore,
But it all feels familiar.

None of this will fade away,
Though footsteps crush each name into dust,
Let the song that flows across the eons
Befriend the souls not yet laid to rest.

Let the moth visit this burning heart

For a moment I remember who I was,
For a moment I remember.

To all who have persevered to this day."
