Multiple shots of pepper balls were fired, not seeming to stop even when the unarmed citizens were already retreating, who seemed to become targets of the riot police.
The shots caused the citizens to ran in fright, rendering themselves in a chaotic scene.

A citizen who tried to walk out onto Nathan Road was immediately tackled on to the ground by multiple riot police. The officers were waiting near the intersection of Nathan Road and Dundas Street.
The citizen was stopped and searched and was subsequently released. However, he was warned by the officer, who told him “Do not try to outplay us, because you simply cannot.”
From Mong Kok to Yau Ma Tei, teams of riot police officers can be seen stationed in every other street corner.
