Admiralty Currently Under "Martial Law"

Hong Kong's Legislative Council resumes the second reading of the "National Anthem Bill" today. Netizens have called for a general strike and slow driving across the city. A huge police force is deployed all over Hong Kong, with armored police cars and water cannon stationed on guard nearby the Liaison office.

In Admiralty, the district where the Legislative Council building is located, footbridges that provide access to the area were locked down.

Reporters without permanent LegCo passes were reportedly to not be allowed to enter the LegCo building, claiming the office would not issue temporary press pass. Although Stand News has sought clarification from LegCo, which denied such arrangements, police continued to create hurdles and refused to handout press passes on the footbridge.

More than 30 security guards entered the Citic Bridge that is cordoned off by police.
