A Wuhan woman recorded her daily life from the very early days of the CoViD-19 outbreak to the beginning of February. It has been verified by the media and the local hospital that events described in this diary are true. The author of the blog did not include any of his personal commentary or opinion.

Hubei Film Studio director family almost all gone
(16 Feb) Hubei Film Studio director #Chang Kai died on 14 Feb from WARS. His father passed away on 27 Jan and his mother, on 2 Feb. Chang Kai's sister and Chang Kai both passed on the 14 Feb. Currently, his wife is in intensive care. Only his son was spared as he studied abroad.

Following the decree, on New Year's Eve, our banquet at the luxury hotel was cancelled. I was, then, in charge of cooking and enjoyed our meal with my parents and wife.
We were unaware of the incoming nightmares. On New Year's Day, my father had a fever, started coughing and had difficulty breathing. We went to multiple hospitals, requesting treatment; no beds were available to take him in. Disappointed, we went home to fend for ourselves, demonstrating filial piety before his deathbed and counting down his days. Our mother became mentally and physically exhausted. Her immune system shut down. She eventually followed our father.
Several days of tending to my parents on their deathbeds permitted the ruthless coronavirus to devour my wife's and my bodies. I went to various hospitals to beg for a bed but because of my insignificant social status, my words carried little weight. The scarcity of beds deprived my opportunity for treatment. With my dying breath, I tell my relatives, friends, and son who is currently in the UK: Throughout my life, I have fulfilled my role as a son, father, and husband as honestly as I could be! To those I love and those who love me, farewell!

"Headliner", a RTHK program, was attacked by the pro-Beijing factions for making pejorative remarks against the police and the authorities regarding their handling of the epidemic as well as protests. Former Chief Executive Leung Chun-Ying condemned the RTHK for āfabricating storiesā, calling on the Hong Kong government to dismiss and sue RTHK Director of Broadcasting Leung Ka Wing.
Police Commissioner Chris Tang wrote to RTHK accusing the program of āconfusing right and wrongā. Lam Chi-wai, Chairman of the Junior Police Officers Association, issued a letter to his fellow members, claiming that āHeadliner smeared by discrediting policeās effort in fighting the Coronavirus epidemicā. Lam said that the programās implication of the Force hoarding and misusing protective equipment was āsheer fictionā.
In addition to RTHK, Lam carried on to criticize people who support RTHK's right to expression. Lam condemned pro-democracy lawmaker Kwok Ka-kei for supporting RTHKās āslanderā with āshallow figures and false allegationsā.
The Police Force also released letter to further pressurize RTHK Director of Broadcasting by pinpointing Headliner's sarcastic comments on the police.
Within the Legislative Council, pro-Beijing lawmakers castigated RTHK director for "ignoring the problem" after the director reinstated that the RTHK had been an impartial platform for all walks of life.
In the end, RTHK spokesperson acknowledged the effort from different departments for fighting the pandemic, and that the program Headliner always reflects the view spectrum on social issues ironically.

(20 Feb) A post-80 Hongkonger, Mr Tong started his own Face mask factory in HK. It took him 14 days to establish the business, factory of āmade in HKā masks. Under scarce supply of all resources for mask production, Mr Tong strived strenuously to secure resources including raw materials and machinery. The process worried him quite a lot. Finally, his factory, the Mask Factory finally was in operation. He honestly admited, that āWell, itās faster to make it myself than to wait for the help from government.ā Now there is one production line, and first batch of mask will be sent to frontline medical staff, seniors, and cleaning janitors, etc.

In Solidarity: Nepali Organizations Distribute Free Masks in Hong Kong for Multiple Times
During the coronavirus outbreak in Hong Kong, local communities stayed in solidarity by offering masks to the public at times of supply shortage. Public attention was also paid to the welfare of the eldeely, disabled, underpriviledged and frontline cleaners.
On February 10, the Nepali Lali Gurans Association of Hong Kong gave out around 5000 face masks to the public in Yuen Long.
On February 16, the Nepaliese Co-Ordination Committee distributed another 4000 facemasks on Shanghai Street at Jordan. On the same day, Nepali Youths Social Campaigner also handed out facemasks to those in need.
