20 People Stopped and Searched; Prohibited From Shouting Their Own Names as it is an Intrusion of Their Own Privacy

Police's Failed to Set up Cordon Line, and broke the Wall of a Shop

Next Magazine Condemns Police for Targeting Magazine Photographer

Riot police conducted clearance operation at a legal rally on the first day of New Year, during which reporters of Next Magazine on the scene were targeted for no apparent reason, including a photographer who was shamed, scolded, brutally shoved, kicked and attacked by the police with their riot shields. The photographer fell to the ground, injured and bleeding. His cell phone was aggressively chucked to the ground.

Police conducted massive stop and search in Causeway Bay, and arrested around 400 civilians. Earlier at Hennessy Road, police demanded numerous civilian to hold their hands high and sit on the floor, waiting to be searched. Lots of police, as well as police vehicles and shuttle bus stood by near SOGO department store.

A police vehicle arrived with 17 male and 15 female arrestees. It is the 4th police vehicle coming to the North Point Police Station.

The 5th police vehicle with the plate number UY4357 arrived, bringing more arrested civilians to the Police Station, probably for interogation and detention.

Police Destroy Lennon Wall, Leaving Torn Paper Everywhere
