Hysan Place Closes an Entrance

1800 | #CausewayBay, Hysan Place

At around 1800, the Hennessey Road entrance of Hysan Place, Causeway Bay shut its doors, preventing anyone from entering. Staffs on site explained that crowd control measures were being implemented, and that shoppers could still enter via the other entrances.

Hysan Place is a popular shopping attractions on Hong Kong Island, a must-go for tourists. Whatever that is currently going on might possibly be a very unique experience for the tourists who are currently there.

Sponsors of #Christmas Feast Received Suspected Police Calls, Warning Christmas Dinner as "Unlawful Assembly"

Kwong Wing Catering planned to hold a free Christmas feast on Christmas Day. The Catering announced via Facebook in the afternoon of December 25 that their sponsors received telephone calls "suspected to be from Hong Kong Police", that the feast could be an act of illegal assembly. Therefore, the Restaurant urged citizens to queue up before entering, leave at once afterwards, and not to chant slogans.

A chef, nicknamed "Mr. Chef" known for cooking for entrapped citizens in #CUHK and #PolyU, was going to cook this,meal for 1,000 people. Police, however, arrested him on Dec 24 for reason unknown. The Police has yet acknowledged what he is going to be charged for.

Despite the adversities, the feast was held as scheduled, so not to waste the food prepared beforehand and to show support for the movement.

Newsflash: Hong Kong Plainclothes Police Allegedly Attack Passersby Indiscriminately With Batons

The high pressure crackdown of Hong Kong Police in various locations continues this afternoon. The station was tipped off by civilians that plainclothes officers were attacking passersby and civilians indiscriminately. As shown in the video, the scene was chaotic.

Since the station had lost contact with the informant after receiving the video, details of the incident remains unknown at this time and we will continue to followup on the situation.
