Hongkongers Discriminated by the Police Near Hung Hom

Police set roadblocks nearby Hung Hom. Most passers-by are blocked by riot police and only Mainland Chinese were allowed to pass through. No Hong Kongers were allowed.

Police Lost Control and Dispersed Demonstrators by Force in a Lawful March

A large number of police suddenly lost control and rushed into Salisbury Garden, arrested at least two protesters.

Another citizen was dragged behind the police cordon line and got beaten before being released. On the other hand, the police used tear gas and pepper spray to disperse the crowd, though only children and elderly people were on the scene.

Citizens and Tourists Got Pepper-sprayed, while the Letter of Objection was still Vaild

A lot of citizens attended the “Let’s Not Forget our Original Intent” march this afternoon.

This is the third public activity of the day which the police had granted Letter of No Objection. The activity was supposed to end at 6 pm. However, the police sprayed a large quantity of pepper spray and fired pepper ball bullets at the citizens after someone had thrown water bottle towards them at around 4 pm, when the Letter of No Objection was still valid.

The police dispersed the citizens outside SOGO and the Space Museum. They even fired pepper ball bullets at the crowd. Some tourists were pepper sprayed and needed to be treated by volunteer medics at the scene.

Police Disperse Tourists At Tourist Areas

1740 | Avenue of Stars, TST
At around 1740, police started dispersing civilians gathered outside Space Museum and the Avenue of Stars. The blue flag was raised, with around 40 riot police were in action.

Tourists and foreigners were forced away and restaurants have since closed. The police continued dispersing people inside the tourist area for 15 minutes but civilians stayed and waited for the police to leave. The civilians chanted slogans like "Hidilao" (a famous mainland hot pot chain store) saracastically at the police.

Commanding Officer of the PR Department KO Chun-pong was at the scene and told other officers to let him handle when they tried to talk back to the civilians.

Popsicle Amid Chaos

This man, who is in his 80s, sells ice cream outside Salisbury Park. The Police fired tear gas nearby and affected his business. Afterwards, this man was seen fearlessly enjoying a popsicle before the police’s surging cordon lines while being interviewed by the press.
