Over 500 students gathered on campus to mourn the passing of Chow Tsz-Lok

Students held banners that read "Chow Tsz-lok, we will carry on on your behalf", "Investigate Police Brutality" and "Stop Police Lies". Students called for class boycott next week and asked other universities to join.

The Convocation Ceremony of the University of Science and Technology, originally scheduled in this afternoon (Nov 8), has been cancelled, after their 22-year-old student Chow had passed away in the morning. Chow fell off in a carpark in Tseung Kwan O on November 4 during police operation. The cause of his fall has raised questions among the public.

It is with regret to hear that Tsz-lok has passed away this morning after 5 days of battling with death. The Citizens’ Press Conference hereby deliver our deepest grief and condolences to Tsz-lok, his family and loved ones. May Tsz-Lok rest in peace in the kingdom of heaven protected by deities far above.

In this tragic moment, we plead to all to bear in heart and mind who the real culprits behind Tsz-lok’s death were. His fall was not an unfortunate accident. It was an intentional manslaughter executed by tyranny and the Police force. Especially at this time of painful heartbreak, Hong Kongers need to remain united in grief and calm in mind to mourn Chow and all who have perished under tyranny. We who remain shall march on the avenue of change and pass on the torch of a free Hong Kong on behalf of all martyrs.

Besides all-masked protest and black ribbon operation, the following are some of the upcoming public activities held*:

- 8 Nov 20:00, Mourning service in 18 district malls, Tseung Kwan O mourning service
- 9 November, Rallies in memory of Tsz-lok
- 11 November, Operation Dawn
- By December, all sectors must form unions to organise long-term strike to resist the tyranny with concrete actions.

The Citizens' Press Conference also urges residents and vehicle owners of Tseung Kwan O to provide every piece of relevant information to us in order to bring justice to Tsz-lok through our collective efforts to uncover the truth.

Heartbroken Medical Staff and Citizens Leave Messages for Chow on Hospital's Lennon Wall:
"We will carry on for you"

The city is heartbroken over Chow's death, but more than that, it is angrily demanding a full investigation into what happened on that tragic night.

The Lennon Wall at Queen Elizabeth Hospital that carried messages in support of the movement now included many more notes for Chow.  Some staff members wrote "Tsz-Lok please rest in peace! Investigate the truth!"  Others left messages accusing On-Yeung Tsui, who held his wedding banquet near the location on the same night, for causing the subsequent clash between police and residents that ultimately led to Chow's death.

There are witness reports that police pointed guns at first aiders (https://t.me/guardiansofhongkong/9959); car cameras footage also showed riot police inside the car park before Chow's fall. (https://t.me/guardiansofhongkong/9992)
