*GSTS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION DONATES GHS 30,000 WORTH OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO TAKORADI HOSPITAL*

In a remarkable display of community spirit, the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) Alumni Association (GAA) donated medical supplies worth GHS 30,000 to the Takoradi Hospital. The presentation was made on behalf of the Association by Gt. Julius Nkrumah '86/H7, the GAA Organiser, as part of the association's efforts to commemorate GSTS's 115th anniversary.

Gt. Nkrumah highlighted the historical significance of GSTS, which was established in 1909 as the first secondary technical school in Ghana and the West African sub-region. This donation underscores the GAA's unwavering commitment to supporting the healthcare needs of the GSTS community, who periodically are referred by the school's sickbay to the Takoradi Hospital for medical care.

The hospital's representative, Dr. Preprah expressed profound gratitude for the timely and valuable contribution. "This donation will have a profound impact on our ability to provide quality healthcare services to the community," Dr. Preprah said, appealing to other organizations to follow the GAA's exemplary lead in supporting the healthcare sector.

Gt. John Aidoo '72/H6, a GSTS Board member and GAA Trustee, and Gt. Raphael Setoworfia '91/H5, President of the GAA Takoradi Chapter, were among the attendees.

This gesture serves as a shining example of how alumni associations can leverage their resources and influence to make a tangible difference in the lives of their school's communities. The medical supplies will undoubtedly contribute to the Takoradi Hospital's capacity to deliver exceptional healthcare services, inspiring others to follow suit.
