Greetings, Fellow Giants.
*RENOVATION OF CLASSROOM BLOCKS - UPDATE*
We hope this message finds you all well.
Project Updates:
The GAA is currently undertaking a major renovation project in the classroom blocks behind the science block. Here's an update on the progress:
- The roofing of the buildings have been completely replaced including the recent one adjacent to the cadet armoury.
- Structural engineering repairs are underway.
- Old ceilings have been removed, and a donation of plywood boards has been received to replace them.
- Old cabinets and shelves have been removed.
- New drainage pipes have been installed.
- Timber, bolts and nuts have been procured for the reconstruction of the balustrades.
- Unused washroom spaces are being converted to classrooms.
- waterproof treatment for reinforced concrete roof slabs has been completed.
- The bridge between the classrooms and the science block has been repaired.
- Discussions are ongoing to rewire the buildings, replace doors and windows, and paint them.
Funding and Approach:
- The project was kickstarted with a welcome grant donation.
- The GAA is approaching this endeavour with an energetic and proactive stance to complete the project before the celebration of the 115th anniversary celebrations in October.
This update is to inform you about the progress of the project's funding and activities, as well as to appeal for your support. The completed work and ongoing efforts are shown in the attached photos.
While the renovation project is ongoing, we also encourage all Giants to help wrap up the house donation efforts. There's a lot of work to be done, and we need everyone's support to make Mother Tesco proud.
Let's all contribute to these important initiatives. Together, we can make a difference.
Stand tall.
