Dear Respected Gibson School Systems Parents and Guardians,

Re: Update on Regional Examination Participation for All GSS Parents and Grades 6 and 8 Parents,

I hope this letter finds you and your families in good health and high spirits, despite the recent unsettling developments regarding our students' participation in the upcoming regional examinations.

As you may be aware, a directive from the Head of the Education Bureau has been issued, resulting in a ban on our grades 6 and 8 students from taking the regional exams under the prestigious name of Gibson School Systems. Instead, it has been stated that these students will be assigned to public schools with which they have no affiliation or prior connection. Understandably, this unexpected action has caused confusion and concern among our school community.

I am writing to inform you that our school has taken a firm stance against this decision, which we believe to be unjust, unprecedented, and not in accordance with the legal rights of our students. We have appealed to the highest authorities, who were previously unaware of this ban, to rectify this situation and ensure that our students can exercise their right to sit for the national exams in a peaceful and fair manner.

The two leaders of the Education Bureau who are behind this decision forced their direction upon others. After their demands for us to engage in unethical practices were rejected and exposed at every level, they retaliated. Now, they are further damaging our school community by threatening to not only ban our students from the national exams but also to reject the report cards of all students for this year, and subsequently to close the Gibson School System entirely.

The latest reports indicate that the leaders responsible for this ban have extended their actions to target other branches of our school, specifically the Bole and CMC Branches, which have already registered their students for the regional exams. These leaders are demanding that parents re-register their children under different schools, with which our students have no affiliation and have never attended. This is more than a disservice to our children and their hard work over the past years; it is a display of unethical behavior by individuals who should be fostering the nation's educational wellbeing.

In light of these events, it is our collective responsibility to stand united in support of our students and to expose the wrongful actions of these leaders. The GSS school encourages all parents to advocate for their rights and the rights of their children through the country's legal systems, peacefully and with patience. The rule of law must prevail, and it is the most effective course of action for ensuring justice and preventing further disruption to our students' educational journeys.

I urge each of you to stand in solidarity with the school during this trying time and not to fall into their systemic divide-and-rule tactics. Together, we can safeguard the educational rights of our children and ensure they are granted the opportunities they have so diligently worked towards. If you require assistance or guidance on how to proceed legally, please feel free to reach out to the school administration. We are here to support you every step of the way.

ለተከበራችሁ ውድ የጊብሰን ትምህርት ቤቶች ሥርዓት ወላጆች እና አሳዳጊዎች፣

ጉዳዩ: ለሁሉም የጊብሰን ት/ቤቶች ሥርዓት ወላጆች እና ለ6ኛ እና 8ኛ ክፍል ክልላዊ ፈተና ተፈታኝ ተማሪዎች ወላጆች ወቅታዊ መረጃን ማሳወቅ ይሆናል ፡፡

በመጀመሪያ የከበረ ሰላምታዬን እያቀረብኩ በቅርቡ የተማሪዎቻችን ከተማ አቀፍ ፈተናዎች መሳተፍን በሚመለከት ያልተረጋጋ ሁኔታ እየተፈጠረ ቢሆንም እርስዎ እና ቤተሰቦችዎ በጥሩ ጤንነት እና መንፈስ ሆነው ይህ መልዕክት እንደሚደርሶት ተስፋ አደርጋለሁ።

እንደሚታወቀው ከትምህርት ቢሮ ኃላፊ በተሰጠ መመሪያ መሰረት የ6ኛ እና የ8ኛ ክፍል ተማሪዎቻችን በተከበረው ጊብሰን ት/ቤቶች ስርዓት ስም ክልላዊ ፈተና እንዳይወስዱ አግዷል። ይልቁንም እነዚህ ተማሪዎች ቀድሞ ምንም ግንኙነት በሌላቸውና በማያውቋቸው የመንግሥት ትምህርት ቤቶች እንደሚመደቡ ተገልጿል። በቀላሉ ለመረዳት እንደሚቻለው፣ ይህ ያልተጠበቀ ድርጊት በትምህርት ቤታችን ማህበረሰቦች መካከል ግራ መጋባት እና ስጋት ፈጥሯል።

ይህ ውሳኔ ኢ-ፍትሐዊ፣ ከዚህ ቀደም ታይቶ የማይታወቅ እና የተማሪዎቻችንን ህጋዊ መብት ያልተከተለ ነው የሚለው የትምህርት ቤታችን ጽኑ አቋም መሆኑን ለማሳወቅ እወዳለሁ። ይህንን እገዳ ከዚህ ቀደም ላላወቁ ጉዳዩ ለሚመለከታቸው የከፍተኛ ተቋማት ባለስልጣናት በማሳወቅ ይህ ሁኔታ ተስተካክሎ ተማሪዎቻችን ሰላማዊና ፍትሃዊ በሆነ መንገድ ለክልላዊ ፈተና የመቅረብ መብታቸውን እንዲጠቀሙበት እንዲደረግ ቅሬታችንን አቅረበናል።

ከዚህ ውሳኔ ጀርባ ያሉት ሁለቱ የትምህርት ቢሮ አመራሮች አቅጣጫቸውን በሌሎች ላይ በማድረግ ውሳኔያቸውን አስገድደው እየተገበሩ ይገኛሉ። ከሥነ ምግባር ውጭ የሆነ ተግባር እንድንፈጽም ያቀረቡት ጥያቄ ውድቅ ተደርጎ በየደረጃው ከተጋለጠ በኋላ በአጸፋውን ተማሪዎቻችንን ከክልላዊ ፈተና ከመከልከል ባለፈ የሁሉም ተማሪዎች የሪፖርት ካርድ ውድቅ ለማድረግ እና በመቀጠልም የጊብሰን ት/ቤቶችን ስርዓትን ሙሉ በሙሉ እንዘጋለን በማለት በማስፈራራት የትምህርት ቤታችንን ማህበረሰብ እየጎዱ ይገኛሉ።

አሁን የወጡ መረጃዎች እንደሚያመለክቱት ለዚህ እገዳ ተጠያቂ የሆኑ አመራሮች ተግባራቸውን በማስፋፋት አስቀደመው ለክልላዊ ፈተና የተመዘገቡ በሌሎች የትምህርት ቤታችን ቅርንጫፎች በተለይም በቦሌ እና በሲኤምሲ ቅርንጫፎች ላይ ተግባራቸውን ቀጥለዋል። እነዚህ ኃላፊዎች ወላጆች ልጆቻቸውን ምንም ግንኙነት በሌላቸው እንዲሁም ባልተማሩባቸው የተለያዩ ትምህርት ቤቶች በድጋሚ እንዲመዘገቡ በመጠየቅ ላይ ናቸው። ይህም የልጆቻችን የረጅም ጊዜ ጥረት እና ድካም መና በማስቀረት ከፍተኛ ጉዳት ይኖረዋል። በሌላ በኩል ግን የሀገሪቱን የትምህርት ደህንነት ማጎልበት በሚገባቸው ግለሰቦች የሚፈጽሙትን ሥነ ምግባር የጎደላቸው ድርጊቶች ማሳያ ነው።

ከእነዚህ ክስተቶች አንፃር ተማሪዎቻችንን በመደገፍ በአንድነት መቆም እና የእነዚህን መሪዎች የተሳሳቱ ተግባራት ማጋለጥ የጋራ ሀላፊነታችን ነው።ሁሉም የጂ.ኤስ.ኤስ ወላጆች ለመብታቸው እና ለልጆቻቸው መብት በሀገሪቱ ህጎችና ስርዓቶች መሰረት በሰላም እና በትዕግስት እንዲሟገቱ አሳስባለሁ። የህግ የበላይነት ሊሰፍን ይገባል ይህም ፍትህን ለማረጋገጥ እና የተማሪዎቻችንን የትምህርት ጉዞ ተጨማሪ መስተጓጎልን እንዳይፈጠር ለመከላከል በጣም ውጤታማው እርምጃ ነው።

እያንዳንዳችሁ በዚህ አስቸጋሪ ጊዜ ከትምህርት ቤቱ ጋር በአንድነት እንድትቆሙ እና የከፋፍለህ ግዛ ስልታቸው ወጥመድ ውስጥ እንዳትገቡ አሳስባለሁ። በጋራ፣ የልጆቻችንን የትምህርት መብቶች እናስከብራለን ከዚህም ባለፈ በትጋት የሰሩባቸውን የትምህርት እድሎች እናረጋግጣለን። በህጋዊ መንገድ መብትን ለመጠየቅ እገዛ ወይም መመሪያ ከፈለጉ፣ እባክዎን የትምህርት ቤቱን አስተዳደር ለማግኘት አያመቱ። በእያንዳንዱ እርምጃችሁ ላይ የእኛ ድጋፍ አይለያችሁም ፣ ለዚህም ዝግጁነታችንን እናሳውቃለን።

በአሳደራችሁት እምነት እና እያደረጋችሁ ላላችሁት ትብብር ከልብ አመሰግናለሁ። በዚህ ፈታኝ ወቅት የሚኖሩ ለውጦችን በወቅቱ ለእርስዎ ለማሳወቅ ቃል እንገባለን። ለፍትሃዊነት እና ጥራት ላለው ትምህርት ባለን ታማኝነት የምናደርገውን ጥረት በተስፋ እና በቆራጥነት እንቀጥል።

Welcome to the month of Giving Back in the Gibson School Systems. Please discuss this important Character Trait with your child at home. In cooperation with International Labor Day (May 1, 2022) and Ethiopian Patriots Day (May 5), we are celebrating the Ninth Annual Dignity of Labor Day. Please see all the information below.

What: ANNUAL DIGNITY OF LABOR DAY.

Who: ALL GIBSON SCHOOL SYSTEMS STUDENTS AND STAFF in PRE KG to Grade 4.

Where: IN EACH OF THE GSS KINDERGARTEN AND 1-4 CAMPUSES
.
When: Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

Why: TO CELEBRATE THE DIGNITY OF LABOR AND TO HAVE FUN DOING IT. A CHANCE TO DRESS UP AND SHOW CREATIVITY.

How: ALL KG TO 4 STUDENTS AND ALL GSS STAFF DRESS UP IN ANY WORKERS COSTUME. THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE THE JOB YOU WANT TO HAVE IN LIFE. IT CAN BE SIMPLY TO SHOW RESPECT FOR ALL KINDS OF WORK: FARMER (NO SHARP OR DANGEROUS EQUIPMENT), LOTTERY SELLER, BUSINESSMAN, NURSE, ATTORNEY, DOCTOR, PILOT, FLIGHT ATTENDANT, SCIENTIST/ENGINEER (NO CHEMICALS OR DANGEROUS ITEMS), SHEPHERD, SOLDIER (NO TOY GUNS OR REAL WEAPONS OR SHARP ITEMS), WAITER OR WAITRESS, TEACHER/PROFESSOR, ARTIST/DESIGNER, AUTHOR/JOURNALIST, OR ANY OTHER CREATIVE IDEAS.

However, supermodels and other types of professions that might go against the dress code are not allowed.

DRESS CODE: No short skirts or dresses above the calf, no make up, no big jewelry, no toy guns or real weapons or knives or dangerous equipment, No open shoes or sandals, no revealing tops or shirts. NO JEANS ARE ALLOWED. NO TALL SHOES ARE ALLOWED. NO HOOP OR DANGLING EARRINGS ARE ALLOWED. APPLY THE USUAL GSS ETHICS AND DRESS CODE.

** Students who do not dress up are required to wear complete uniforms.

We expect it will be a great day.

እንዴት ፤ ሁሉም ከአጸደ ህፃናት - 4ኛ ክፍል ያሉ ተማሪዎች እና ሁሉም የጊብሰን ትምህርት ቤቶች መምህራንና ሰራተኞች በሚፈልጉት የሰራተኛ አለባበስ ልማድ መሰረት ይለብሳሉ፡፡ ይህ በህይወታችሁ ዘመን እንዲኖራችሁ የምትፈልጉትን ሥራ የሚያመለክት ተደርጎ አይወስድም፡፡አለባበሱ ለማንኛውም አይነት ሥራ ክብር መስጠትን የሚያሳይ ነው፡፡የአርሶ አደር አለባበስ /ስለት ያለውና አደገኛ መሣሪያዎችን መያዝ የተከለከለ/፣ የብሔራዊ ሎተሪ ትኬት አዟሪ /ሻጭ/፣ የቢዝነስ ሰው፣ ነርስ፣ የሕግ ጠበቃ፣ ዶክተር፣ፓይለት፣ የበረራ ተቆጣጣሪ፣ ሳይንቲስት፣ መሐንዲስ፣/ኬሚካልና አደገኛ ነገሮችን መያዝ የተከለከለ/፣ እረኛ፣ ወታደር፣/የአሻንጉሊት ሽጉጦች ወይም ትክክለኛ የጦር መሣሪያዎችና ስለታማ ነገሮችን መያዝ የተከለከለ/ አስተናጋጅ፣ መምህር፣ ፕሮፌሰር፣ ሰዓሊ፣ ከያኒ፣ ዲዛይነር፣ ደራሲ፣ ጋዜጠኛ፣ ወይም ማንኛውም ዓይነት የፈጠራ ሰው አለባበስን መጠቀም ይቻላል፡፡ ይሁን እንጂ ማንኛውም አይነት አለባበስ በማንኛውም አይነት የሥራ መስክ የጂ ኤስ ኤስ የአለባበስ ደንብን የሚቃረን እጅግ የናረ አለባበስን የሚያሳይ መሆን የለበትም፡፡ ይህ አይፈቀድም፡፡
