Here are 19 things I would do if I started Twitter from scratch and needed to grow to 10k followers in 6 months.
1. Comments for engagement. Long form transformation/education content for followers.
2. Have a 70:30 ratio of educational content and personal stories.
3. Not overthink tweets and just post.
4. Start a newsletter from day one.
5. Use lead magnets to attract ideal customers.
6. Go crazy with comments and tweets.
7. Announce to the TL after every 1k or 10k followers.
8. Reply everyone who comments on my posts.
9. Jot down every new idea I get.
10. Build a list of 20 top accounts I admire, pin to my feed and engage with them daily.
11. Post videos and selfies.
12. Have a community outside the platform to push my content.
13. Ask for a follow at the bottom of every long form content.
14. Write one long form content daily (5 a week if you’re lazy).
15. Turn my bio to a landing page (add a call to action).
16. Leave comments that add value to the idea not just“yes” or “🔥”
17. Show up every day.
18. Build relationships with accounts within my follower count range doing interesting stuff. These people will constitute your network when you all grow.
19. Have a life outside Twitter (this will make your content stand out from everyone else)
Bonus: Build relationships in the DMs.
2nd Bonus: Don’t tweet for likes or reposts, but for the sake of providing value and building relationships.

‘Give yourself 6 months.
If you are serious about changing your life, do something consistently for 6 months.
I guarantee you’ll see results.
If you give up, you don’t want it bad enough.’

Failure makes you question your value but it’s through failure you improve.
Growing to 10k followers on X is the toughest.
It feels like you’re talking to a wall and most people quit before things get easy (or less annoying).
I wrote a case study that documents how I got there, and how you can replicate the process.

You attract what you are ready for. Make sure your actions, behaviors and habits are aligned with what you want.
I'm sure you didn't know I worked in a care home at some point. It was one those experiences that made me want to work twice as hard to grow my online business.
I washed dishes, changed used pads, mopped floors, and worked 12 hour shifts, 4-5 times a week.
I remember one time while I was changing a resident's pad in her bathroom, and I saw myself in the mirror and just thought to myself "is this my life now?"
On another "pad changing occassion", one of the residents literally said "you're not a happy man, are you?"
In my shock, I asked her why she thought so, and she said, well, you're not as smiley as the other carers.
And in my mind, I was like, "Please, can you just turn around so, I can be done wiping your ass and move on to the next resident?"
At that moment, I knew my displeasure for the job had become so obvious to everyone. All I could think of while working that job was how tired I was of it all, and wanted a change.
I went home and couldn't sleep. "This isn't where I thought I would be by now", I thought to myself. I knew I was a great writer, so giving up on the craft was not an option.
All I felt was the need to improve my craft. And I wanted to be one of those people who saId, "I quit my job, to work full-time on my online business."
This was my goal.
And somehow I stumbled on a Twitter business course and the rest they say, is history.

I've recently been considering getting a Kindle, but my love for physical books has been holding me back.
I spent all through last night looking at Kindle reviews and comments on Youtube, secretly hoping no one would successfully convince me that Kindles are the better option. But they were successful. 😕
I came up with the conclusion that I'm gonna stick with both.
I ordered the Kindle 11th generation from ebay this morning, and my strategy is to buy digital copies for cheap on Kindle, and if it's worth re-reading, I'll buy the physical copy and have it on my shelf. (because I've bought physical books in the past that were a complete waste of time).
This way, I'll only have physical copies of books I really love.
I'll let you know what I think when I get my hands on the Kindle.
Anyways, do you prefer Kindles or physical books? Let me know

Read what everyone reads and you’ll sound like everyone.
Read the not so popular books and you’ll stand out.

There are many opportunities on the internet.
So much that you can jump on a new one every 6 weeks and still have lots more to go through after a year.
The various success stories can be tempting.
But you’ll only have those stories if you can focus on one for an extended period.

On my way to the gym this morning, I had a conversation in my head about what people need to succeed. And while success to many is mostly about making money, there's more to it.
There's the fitness goals, academic goals, and relationship goals.
Anyway, I realized that success is theoretically simple but complex in practice. But it helps to know the theory to simplify the practical.
Achieving success follows the same two secrets across any domain.
Here are the two secrets of success
A community of like-minded people
There are countless sayings around, "Show me your friend, and I'll tell you who you are." This is because of how true it is.
I can attest to this because my first step to getting to over 50k followers on Twitter was to join as many communities as possible.
This is one community I recommend
A community does two things:
Creates a sense of accountability and competition.
There's no way you can see other people succeeding at something - who are in close proximity to you, and you sit and cross your arms. Unless you're arrogant and believe you're above them and don't have anything to learn from them.
But if you're willing, you will do whatever it takes to become like them and even become better in some cases.
Number two is...
Consistency and insane work ethic
There are tons of distractions. If your goal is fitness, you might be distracted by sleep, social media, or even your girlfriend.
If you aim to build a dropshipping business, you might be distracted by people already succeeding with affiliate marketing or an agency.
It's tough, but focusing on your community AND GOALS is necessary for achieving your goals.
This is why I'm a big preacher in connecting to a community (and being dedicated) because you can easily solve the problem of lack of focus.
Plus the need to level up will fuel your work ethic.
