A former German Armed Forces telecommunications bunker, distinct from the roughly 30 standard Telekom bunkers built between the mid-1960s and mid-1990s. Unlike the others, this facility is larger, built within a tunnel system, operated much longer, and was equipped in its final years with technology not used elsewhere. It housed a telex switching system—an encrypted, emergency-ready communication method that predates email but is unrelated to the internet. The bunker was not intended as a shelter, aside from accommodating staff.

Although no longer in use, it is not abandoned and still has an owner. It was reportedly sold to an IT company, though the site remains unchanged, suggesting the sale may not have been completed and that it could still belong to the federal government (BIMA).
