A message for TON developers.

In addition to our Weekly TON Digest, we are going to start publishing a digest in which we’ll feature new projects in the TON ecosystem.

Therefore, we’d like dev teams that have already created products for TON to write to us.

All you need to do is write a short description of your project in English (300 characters or fewer) and send it to our manager @toncoin_app.

To be featured in our digest, your project needs to have a website, a mobile app, and either a Telegram bot or another resource that has a description of your product.

Projects that fascinate us will be featured in our TON Community Telegram channels.

Toncoin is changing its ticker.

We’d like to inform you that Toncoin will soon change its shortened ticker symbol on all crypto exchanges to “TON.”

However, its full name will stay the same — Toncoin.

The change will happen gradually, so please pay attention to Toncoin’s ticker when trading because it might have its old ticker on some exchanges while having its new ticker on other exchanges.

For Wrapped Toncoin on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, there will be no change (TONCOIN).

Meanwhile, there may be other cryptocurrencies that use the same ticker. So, to avoid confusion, go to https://ton.org/coin to find a list of exchanges that carry Toncoin and links to trading pairs.

Introducing one of TON’s core team members — EmelyanenkoK.

A Ph.D. graduate and winner of multiple Telegram contests, Kirill Emelyanenko (EmelyanenkoK) began to study blockchain technology in depth from its earliest stages, working with various types of decentralized networks.

Kirill met Anatoliy Makosov (tolya-yanot) at the TON Blockchain Contests, which was held by the Telegram team in 2019, where both finished in first place.

In tandem with Anatoliy, he took part in the development of the Orion Protocol, the well-known centralized and decentralized exchange aggregation protocol. While working on this project, they realized that they work well together and realized that the aggregation of exchanges and liquidity pools would lead to another inevitable revolution: the aggregation of blockchains.

As soon as they made this conclusion, they started devoting all of their time to TON’s development.

A blockchain explorer is an application that allows users to view pertinent information and statistics of the network.

Regular users have little to no need for this kind of app, but for blockchain developers, it’s a must-have in their line of work.

WARNING: Scammers spotted.

Bad actors who have been impersonating the TON Foundation are peddling fake TON products to our users.

Lately, community members have been receiving a lot of direct messages inviting them to a “.ton domain presale.”

Within those messages are links to websites that are carbon copies of TON’s official website.

Be careful!

TON’s official website is www.ton.org.

The TON Foundation and the various TON Community Telegram channels will never DM you first. Remember, this is a classic maneuver of scammers.

If you’re unsure or have forgotten, perhaps now would be a good time to review our rules for digital safety. And know this: You can always trust projects that the TON Foundation has officially sanctioned.

If impersonators and/or scammers message you with offers that are fake or that are simply too good to be true, please, block and report them — immediately.

A call to join the public discussion to create an NFT standard on TON.

Developers from the TON Foundation have created a draft of a nonfungible token standard based on the TON blockchain and are encouraging developers to participate in the open discussion and help finalize the standard on GitHub.

All developers can read the draft and offer notes and suggestions.

For those who are not developers, we kindly ask you to refrain from disrupting the process’s flow by leaving comments.

Furthermore, flooding the discussion with comments interferes with the technical workflow of the developers, who want to deliver a high-quality product in a timely fashion.

​The TON blockchain is able to scale itself on demand, accommodating any necessary traffic and operations. How does it achieve this?

TON uses an infinite sharding paradigm that allows the network to grow itself based upon user traffic. The base TON blockchain creates and utilizes work chains to perform its needed computations, which, in turn, can split themselves into shard chains.

As these shards are created, they need the ability to send messages to one another. TON’s Instant Hypercube Routing system enables communication among every shard on TON, no matter how many shards exist in the system.

Each shard is connected to the one next to it. TON sends messages from shard to shard unless it identifies that it can use its “fast path” to send the message directly to its destination. Either way, the message arrives safely, securely, and quickly.

This unique system means that transactions are sent instantly instead of having to wait for a validator. This system design enables infinite scaling.

An AMA with a founding member of the TON Foundation.

Today at 1:30 pm CET, Steve Yun, a founding member of the TON Foundation, will be fielding questions in an AMA session.

The host of the AMA is Coinvestasi, the largest crypto community in Indonesia.

The AMA will be in English and held on the @komunitascoinvestasi Telegram channel where people will be able to ask Steve questions about the TON blockchain and its native cryptocurrency, Toncoin.

How to Buy, Bridge and Provide Liquidity for TON

Buying Toncoin (TON) is easier than ever since getting listed on @FTX_Official and integrated with Telegram.
