🔐 Protect your digital assets from external eavesdropping and influence 🔐

3️⃣ Key Takeaways:

📝 Albeit seemingly harmless, objects such as an antenna, a radio device and a laptop can be assembled into tools for eavesdropping, and a malicious actor could use them to view what a victim is doing on his/her computer screen.

💻 In essence, electronic devices emit electromagnetic (EM) radiation when they process information and this could compromise privacy and security as the devices are broadcasting their activities to the world.

💻 There are three possible countermeasures against these attacks: shielding, filtering and masking. Each individual or organisation will need to determine which of the three is most appropriate for them.

StickyBlocs - where parent and child can build their world ❤️🧩

While there is a wide variety of toys available in the market for most children to choose from, there are very few affordable, sensorial play options for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). After meeting with therapists and families at the AWWA Early Intervention Centre, 6 members from GovTech aim to fill the gap by conceptualising StickyBlocs.

StickyBlocs is a building playset designed for parents and young children, including those with ASD to help facilitate creative play between parent and child at home!

Inspired by Elaine’s love for painting, the team built the eCanvas, a device that dispenses paint or moves the canvas by responding to voice commands of the painter.

The eCanvas project illustrates how technology can be used to improve and add value to the lives of individuals, making sure that no one gets left behind.
