There has been a surge in phishing incidents where scammers impersonate Singpass in unsolicited SMSes to obtain a user’s Singpass login credentials.
Do remember to always stay vigilant and proceed with caution when transacting online. Follow these safety tips and help keep scammers at bay:
1️⃣ Never share your Singpass ID, password or 2FA details (e.g. SMS OTP) with others
2️⃣ Check that the URL domain of the Singpass website is singpass.gov.sg (with a lock icon in the address bar) before proceeding
3️⃣ Singpass never sends web links or QR codes via SMS or WhatsApp
4️⃣ If in doubt, verify the authenticity of claims by calling the official Singpass hotline on 6335 3533 and pressing "9" for 24-hour scam support
