This game-changing initiative has also earned global praise as a model for inclusive growth.
PM SVANidhi Yojana:
βœ…It is a central-sector micro-credit scheme launched on 1st June 2020 by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for providing affordable working capital loans to street vendors affected by the Covid-19
The scheme aims to provide financial support to street vendors to resume their livelihoods and help them become self-reliant.
βœ…Implementation Agency: Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI)

Benefits:
βœ…Vendors can avail a working capital loan of up to Rs. 10,000, which is repayable in monthly installments in the tenure of one year.
βœ…On timely/early repayment of the loan, an interest subsidy at 7% per annum will be credited to the bank accounts of beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer on a quarterly basis.
βœ…There will be no penalty on early repayment of the loan.
βœ…The scheme promotes digital transactions through cash back incentives up to an amount of Rs. 100 per month.
βœ…The vendors can avail the facility of escalation of the credit limit on timely/early repayment of loan.
βœ…The loan amount can be used for any purpose related to the street vending business, such as buying raw materials, paying rent, or purchasing equipment.
βœ…The loan repayment period is one year.
Eligibility:
βœ…Street vendors in possession of Certificate of Vending /Identity Card issued by Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).
βœ…The vendors, who have been identified in the survey of street vendors but have not been issued Certificate of Vending/Identity Card.
βœ…Street Vendors left out of the ULB-led identification survey or who have started vending after completion of the survey and have been issued a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) to that effect by the ULB / Town Vending Committee (TVC).
βœ…The vendors of surrounding development/ peri-urban/rural areas vending in the geographical limits of the ULBs, who have been issued a Letter of Recommendation (LoR) to that effect by the ULB /TVC.

Jiyo Parsi Scheme:

Objectives:
βœ… Arrest and reverse the declining population of the Parsi community in India.
βœ… Provide financial and medical support for fertility treatments, childcare, and elder care.

Key Features:
βœ… Financial aid for infertility treatments.
βœ… Support for childcare & elder care.
βœ… Awareness programs to encourage participation.
βœ… Over 400 births facilitated, aiding cultural and demographic preservation.

Mission Satyanishtha: Indian Railways had organised a programme on Ethics in Public Governance and launched Mission Satyanishtha at a day-long event held at National Rail Museum, New Delhi. It was first of its kind event organised by any government organization in the country.
The issue of ethics, integrity and probity in public life has been matter of concern all over government sector across the country. In this context, it is also extremely important that all railway servants adhere to impeccable conduct and integrity at all times.
Mission Satyanishtha aims at sensitizing all railway employees about need to adhere to good ethics and to maintain high standards of integrity at work. Under it, talks and lectures on subject were organised all over Indian Railways for this purpose.
PM-SETU scheme:
❖ The PM-SETU (Prime Minister’s Scheme for Empowering Through Skilling and Employment) was launched during the Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh in New Delhi.
❖ The scheme aims to connect Indian youth with global skill demands through upgraded training infrastructure.
❖ The scheme is designed to align skill development with industry requirements over the next ten years.
❖ The scheme focuses on creating a workforce equipped to meet both domestic and international skill standards.
Critical Mineral Recycling Incentive Scheme:
❖ The Ministry of Mines issued detailed guidelines for the β‚Ή1,500 crore Critical Mineral Recycling Incentive Scheme.
❖ The scheme aims to boost India’s capacity to recycle critical minerals from secondary sources such as e-waste, spent lithium-ion batteries, and industrial scrap.
❖ The scheme supports both large and small recyclers, including start-ups, in setting up or expanding recycling facilities.
❖ The initiative aligns with India’s broader goals of resource efficiency, circular economy promotion, and reducing import dependence on strategic minerals.
SPREE-2025 and Amnesty Scheme:
❖ The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has launched SPREE-2025 and Amnesty Scheme-2025 to strengthen social security and ease compliance.
❖ The aim is to expand ESIC coverage, encourage voluntary registration, reduce litigation, and improve the delivery of benefits to workers.
❖ SPREE-2025 (Scheme for Promoting Registration of Employers and Employees) will be active till 31 December 2025.
❖ Under SPREE-2025, unregistered employers and employees can join ESIC via ESI Portal, Shram Suvidha Portal, or Company Affairs Portal without liability for past dues.
❖ The Amnesty Scheme-2025 will run from 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026 for resolving disputes on damages, interest, and ESI Act coverage.
❖ It offers employers a one-time opportunity to settle pending cases and strengthen legal compliance

Dumpsite Remediation Accelerator Programme (DRAP):
Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal launched the Dumpsite Remediation Accelerator Programme (DRAP) β€” a year-long, mission-mode initiative aimed at fast-tracking the remediation of remaining dumpsites across urban India. The programme seeks to reclaim valuable urban land for community and infrastructure development, thereby advancing India’s vision of achieving β€œLakshya Zero Dumpsites” by September 2026.
Currently, 1,428 sites are undergoing remediation, and about 80% of the legacy waste is concentrated in 214 sites across 202 ULBs. DRAP will prioritize these high-impact locations, covering approximately 8.8 crore MT of legacy waste.
To support the goal of β€œLakshya Zero Dumpsites” , the central government provides financial assistance to cities considering an estimate of β‚Ή550 per tonne for legacy waste remediation. So far, MoHUA has extended CFA of β‚Ή4,181 crore for projects worth β‚Ή10,228 crore, benefiting 2,484 ULBs across 28 States/UTs. Till date, 1,048 out of 2476 dumpsites holding nearly 25 Cr MT of waste have been fully remediated, with several others are in various stages of completion. In total, 14.33 crore metric tons of legacy waste have been processed, and nearly 7,580 acres (50%) of land have been reclaimed.
