*UAE UPDATE* -
Goverment of Dubai removed *the 30 per cent Municipality Tax* on sales of alcoholic beverages *from 1st January 2023* as well as also removed *Personal Liquor Licence Fee.*
From January 1, 2023 personal liquor licences will be free-to-obtain for those eligible to legally purchase alcoholic beverages in Dubai. A valid Emirates ID, or Passport for tourists, will still be required to apply.
This ends a long-standing source of revenue for Government *to apparently further boost tourism to the emirate*.
