HODL is a term comes from a misspelling of "hold," in the context of buying and holding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. When used today, it stands for "hold on for dear life" among crypto investors who refuse to sell their cryptocurrency regardless of the price increasing or decreasing.
HODL was later retrofitted to be an acronym for “Hold On for Dear Life” and refers to not selling, even during strong market volatility and poor market performance.
For cryptocurrency maximalists, HODL represents more than a strategy. Long-term crypto HODLers stay invested because they believe that cryptocurrencies will eventually replace government-issued fiat currencies as the basis of all economic structures.

Fidelity Investments announced the launch of a couple of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) this week to offer investors exposure to the crypto industry and the metaverse.
The first is called “Fidelity Crypto Industry and Digital Payments ETF (FDIG).” It invests in companies that “support the broader digital assets ecosystem, including those involved in crypto mining and trading, blockchain technology, and digital payments processing,” the firm described. However, this crypto ETF will not offer direct exposure to cryptocurrency.

The interests of our holders are what we care about the most. You may have noticed that today (April 22) the total hashrate is lower than usual. The amount of daily bitcoin rewards is directly related to the hashrate.
These changes occurred due to technical circumstances which are beyond our control. Specifically, our electricity supplier performed an unscheduled repair. But we have created a special insurance fund precisely to protect our holders against such cases. The reduction in computing power will not affect tomorrow's (April 23) bitcoin rewards. The amount of payout will not change, regardless of what happened. All losses will be compensated from the GMT insurance fund.
We are notifying you of what happened because it is important for us to be honest and transparent with all our holders.
