“Sometimes, as a driver, having a conversation with your passengers can be a very good way to stop them from ending their lives”.
Having quit her job as a paramedic in 2018 to care for her eldery parents, Ms Khairiah Hanim Mazlan became a Gojek driver-partner to make ends meet.
Spending most of her nights on the road, she never expected to still be helping save lives in her new profession. Over the past four years, she’s convinced four passengers who had suicidal thoughts to seek help at the the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) instead. Kudos to you, Khairiah!
