ROBOT IN RESIDENCE
Since August 2022, the NAO robot has been touring the Goethe-Instituts in sub-Saharan Africa as part of the "Robot in Residence" program. The NAO robot, a humanoid robot developed by SoftBank Robotics, is programmed by developers in the various African countries so that it can perform specific tasks in each location.
On September 19, 2023, at 10:00 am, the robot will perform at the Goethe-Institut and tell these fairy tales to Ethiopian children in Amharic. There will even be a fairy tale told in the Tigrigna and Oromoffia languages.

Goethe-Institut Äthiopien in partnership with the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS), the Children's Science Center, and their network of public, private, and foreign schools will hold the Science Film Festival 2023 in Ethiopia from 6 October until 20 December 2023. Up to 25 films appropriate for young pupils, youth, and the public will be screened in schools and institutes of higher education across Addis Abeba, Ethiopia.
Our monthly film program for the month of October will feature the premiere film for the Science Film Festival 2023. The festival opens on Friday, 13 October at 2:00pm with the feature length documentary ‘A League of Extraordinary Makers: Rise of the Makers’ as well as a selection of short science films dubbed in Amharic. The public program is open to educators, teachers, and other members of the education community.

The Bucerius Global Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship for talented young professionals who seek to apply for the Master of Law and Business (MLB/LLM) Program at Bucerius Law School.
In addition to covering the tuition fees for the one-year program, the scholarship includes a partial stipend for living expenses.

The Goethe-Institut Äthiopien is currently accepting applications for their Regional German Teachers' Training Program. This program will be held from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, with a focus on teaching German as a Foreign Language at the Goethe-Institut.

The event will take place on November 14, 2023, from 8:30 am to 5 pm. It consists of two parts: the first half of the event will be a closed focused group discussion with feminists, gender equality advocates, followed by an open story telling session to the public and partners that will start at 2 pm.
