RESULTS; The percentage of patients with a functional cure was significantly higher with bepirovirsen than with placebo in both the B-Well 1 trial (20% vs. 0%) and the B-Well 2 trial (19% vs. 0%). Adverse events of grade 3 or higher occurred in 16% of the patients who received bepirovirsen and in 3% of those who received placebo; the most common such event with bepirovirsen was an increase in the alanine aminotransferase (ALT) level.
