How did the Ukraine war start?
For everyone who has no idea how the Ukraine conflict began - here is a bit of history lesson.
1989 - 1991

The Russian allows the abolition of the demarcation line between East and West Germany and dissolves the "Warsaw Pact," withdraws its troops from Eastern Europe, and relies on the verbal promise of Hans-Dietrich Genscher (former Vice Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany) and James Baker (former U.S. Secretary of State) in February 1990 that the former "Warsaw Pact" members would not join NATO, meaning there would be NO NATO eastward expansion.
American troops remain stationed in Germany.
2001
--------
Putin makes an offer to the West in the German Bundestag (in fluent German) for a close partnership to overcome the division of the past.
All Bundestag members applaud enthusiastically...
The Americans forbid it.
There is a buffer between NATO and Russia consisting of Belarus, Ukraine, and the three Baltic states.
The Russian remains calm.
2004
---------
The Baltic states become members of NATO.
A first violation of the buffer zone.
The Russian remains calm.
By 2004, almost all "Warsaw Pact" members had joined NATO.
The Russian remains calm.
2014
---------
The West stages a coup against the Russia-friendly government of Ukraine and installs a U.S.-friendly government.
(This has since even been admitted by the Americans.)
