I kill the poet in me,
In a way catastrophic
But not sudden or uncalled for
No,
I don't mean the entropic darkness of being a poet,
Which arises from a nature of sensetivity to feel every life,
like absorbing an ocean in a single breath,
Somehow a rather delicate state of the heart
Because at the end,
No matter what, the sigh is about finding an antidote to celebrate the ordeal of being alive.

But mine is indifferent.

I kill the poet In me rather in the process
In the process
Where the heart suffers from too much reason
While the mind from reminiscent of the heart
In a quest either to settle or to conquer
And many attempts in between,
None festive.

In the process to accustom,
of feeling less and thinking more
In an ambition to evolve
to learn
to tame
to detach from memory,
to detach from emotion,
to detach from time,
All consequences of the mind
Kill the poet in me.

But what is a poet without a profound attachment or vulnerability to feel anyway?
And what good does a poet's mind,if not the heart anyway?

ይኸው ለዘመናት
ስርህ ተኮልኩለን
ስንባዝን ስንማስን
ስንከስም ስንባክን
ይኸው ለዘመናት
ይዘኸው የላዩን
ስታየን ስታየን
ስታየን ስታየን
ዘመኖች አለፉ
ባንተ እንደተከፉ
የተነኑ እንባዎች እንዳርከፈከፉ
ባትሰማም ታያለህ
አምናለሁ ታያለህ-ይህ ግጥም ከታየህ
ሰማይ ሆይ . . . ከንቱ ነህ!

Gone ... Gone ... Gone

I don't know where I am
Its dark
I only see nothing
Nothingness
That's when I knew I went too far
Too far gone

I don't know where I am or who
I kept on asking
All there was was a road
So I kept on going

gone ... gone ... gone

I don't know where I am
It getting too dark
Too blurry too vague

I only see nothing
Nothingness

Thats when I knew I went too far too far gone

I don't know where I am

or Who

Who I was
Who I am
Who I will be
Even who I am being

I kept on asking
All there was was a road
So I kept on going

There was times
I wished I could go back
I tried...

Some how no matter which way I tried to go all roads seems to lead me to the same destination

Nothingness

Now I am facing the Dark

I couldn't let it sink in to my heart
I didn't wanted to go in to it
I didn't wanted to pass through it

Or "Let it" pass through me

But it felt like I had no choice

I can't go back and
I can't stop either.

የመውደድ ገላ መዓዛ
ከአሪቲ ዛላ መዝዛ
ሸተተኝ የማፍቀር ለዛ።
ከአልባጥሮስ፣ ከእጣን፤ ከርቤ
የሰማሁት፤ ተደልቄ እንደ ድቤ
ተሽቀንጥሬ እንደ ፈትል
መሬት ስሜ ልክ እንደትል
ፍቅር ተማገኝ መልኩ
ታየኝ የተዘነጋ ልኩ፡፡
♣️
ኮከብ ከመሬት ተለቅማ
ሰማይ እንደ ጉንጭ ተስማ
እንደ ቃላብ ለፍቅር ተሞ
ድምጽ አውጥቶ እንዳታሞ
'ገዳም ሳይቀረው ገሞ'።

ልቡን መውደድ አሸተው
ድካሙ ዓይኑን ሸተተው
[የጠጠሮች “ቋ..ቀጭ” ዜማ
በአፍንጫው ጠረን ጽፎ
የብሌኑን ሞራ ገፎ]
ሄደ፤ ሄደ በረረ
ሽታው ግን ዕጹብ ነበረ፡፡
