Eniy Cinema at Laphto Mall will host a poetry and literature night on Thursday 08 April 2021 titled 'Man Sinager Man Zim Yibel'. The event will feature some of the leading Ethiopian poets and writers including Nebiy Mekonnen, Daniel Kibret and Ephrem Seyoum. Doors will open at 5:30pm. The entrance ticket is ETB 100 and is available at Jaefar Book Shop and Faith Hotel.

ሰላም የግጥም ሲጥም ቤተኞች፣

የኮቪድ ወረርሽኝ በተባባሰ ፍጥነት መስፋፋቱን በዚህም የተነሳ ሌሎች የጤና አገልግሎቶች በመስተጓጎላቸው ማለትም የህክምና ተቋማት ሙሉ ትኩረታቸውን በወረርሽኙ ዙሪያ ማድረጋቸውን ተከትሎ በተለይም የስነተዋልዶ የጤና አገልግሎቶችን ማግኘት እንዲሁም የቤት ውስጥ የጾታ ጥቃት ሰለባዎች የህክምና ትኩረት ማጣት ከመቼውም ጊዜ በላይ ፈታኝ ሆኗል።

ይህንንም በማስመልከት ግንዛቤ የማስጨበጥ እና የባህሪ ለውጥ ለማምጣት የሚያስችሉ ስራዎችን በስነ-ግጥም፣ በመነባንብ (spoken word) ወይም በተመሳሳይ የጥበብ ዘውግ ማህበራዊ ሚድያዎች ላይ ለማሰራጨት በዝግጅት ላይ ነን።

የጥበብ ስራዎቹ ከ 1 ደቂቃ ባይበልጡ ይመከራል። በቀጥታ በኮቪድ የተነሳ ከ ላይ የጠቀስናቸው አይነት ችግሮች ሰለባ ሆነው የራስዎን ተሞክሮ （ቤተሰብ ወይም የኔ የሚሉት ሰው ላይ በደረሰ ታሪክም ሊሆን ይችላል）በጥበብ እንዲያጋሩን እንጠይቃለን። ስራችሁን ከመረጥነው አስፈላጊውን የድምጽ እና ምስል ቀረጻ በከፍተኛ ጥራት በመቅረጽ ለማህበረሰቡ በማስተማሪያነት ለማጋራት ተዘጋጅተናል።

ለአራት የጥበብ ስራዎች ብቻ በመዘጋጀታችን ስራችሁን ወይም ሃሳባችሁን ፈጠን ብላችሁ አጋሩን！ እናመሰግናለን！

የደረቀ ስንጥቅ እጇን - ወዳይኔ ጫፍ ሰንዝራ
የተዝረከረከ ያ ቆንጅዬ ልጇን በእጆቿ ጠፍራ
''ጌትዬ'' አለችኝ አንዱን ምስኪን ባርያ

መንገድ የጠፋበት መሄጃውን 'ማያቅ
ሰው አገኘሁ ብላ የሚያበራ ድቅድቅ
መች አወቀች እሷ የስልኬን ውስጥ ድብቅ
እየተከተለች ትለምነኛለች ይቺ የኔው ቢጤ
መንገድ ያከነፈኝ ሁል ጊዜ መጤ
መንፈግ ያስኮፈሰኝ - ጌታ የጠማው ለት የሆንኩኝ ኮምጣጤ
እኔ ደባብቄው አፍኜው እያለሁ ሁሉንም በውስጤ

Under the title 'Art of Less', On the grind presents a visual art exhibition by Milkyas Abdukerim experimenting with concepts of simplicity.
As part of a Franco‑German collaboration, and with the aim of supporting the rise of alternative culture/arts in Ethiopia, the 3rd edition of the ON THE GRIND festival of 2021 is taking place all across Addis Ababa. The festival is organized by the Alliance Ethio-Française together with the Goethe-Institut and partners.

The Ethiopian Poetry Slam will happen at Shifta Restaurant on 22 May 2021. The event will have contestants showcase their poetic works to pick the first Ethiopian national poetic champion to represent Ethiopia at the 2021 African Cup of Slam Poetry.
