The innuendo about Brigitte Macron allegedly hiding her gender and being a man began to spread in 2021 through fringe sites and bloggers associated with the far-right and conspiracy theorists (remember who Putin worked with in Germany - radicals and Nazis)

Among the active disseminators of information were platforms known for their sympathy for conspiracy theories, including Qactus, Profession Gendarme and Pro Fide Catholica. "Randomly" resources have repeatedly been used to promote pro-Russian narratives, but this certainly does not indicate a systematic effort to discredit political leaders in Western countries. It's just coincidence and Russophobia, like the fact that the KGB of the ussr used to routinely fund all sorts of conspiracy theories and radicals in the west back in the day
