In the video, the guy really knows how to prank, like dry up ink markers (teachers hate this) and kick a big rock to the street for bike riders to find, ouch!

That shitty job making guy, does a great job, especially with the basic webpage mutated into an explosion of graphic crap. The top executives are so happy in the #enshitifcation

Actions speak louder than words.

I am unable to install EU Login app in my phone because I use LineageOS and not the Google Spy Android.

Thus, I cannot use the double factor authentication, mandatory from the 25-02-2026 on unless I tell Google.

A frontal attack to our #privacy.

Stupid, no?

@sn@mastodon.uno è come se ti multassero per eccesso di velocità prima ancora di salire in macchina. A questo punto, visto che già mi hanno multato, mi riservo il diritto di correre oltre il limite, cioè di piratare.

Motorola announces partnership with Graphene OS to bring us secure phones!

https://motorolanews.com/motorola-three-new-b2b-solutions-at-mwc-2026/

So the mysterious manufacturer GOS was working with was Motorola, not OnePlus as early speculations suggested. This is good news, Motorola is owned by Lenovo and makes cool phones!

Reminder that Graphene OS is still based on AOSP and therefore, IMHO, eventually doomed to succumb to Google's shenanigans. However, for now and for the foreseeable future, that's the best we can have.

A friend, @chloetankahhui@mas.to has been speaking up against the proposal to enforce age verification at the OS level, and the QRTs to this shows the extent of naivety that a lot of people have.

No one who does hardware security believes that any system is bulletproof, but do you really think that circumventing these things will always be a simple firmware mod or hardware hack?

Let's dive in. /1

what the—and I cannot stress this enough—absolute fuck:

"...sensitive and personal footage captured by [Meta Smart Glasses]—including people going to the bathroom, getting dressed, and having sex—is being reviewed by contractors who see all of it uncensored."

Guide on how to comply with California's "Age Verification" AB1043 as a software developer:

What to do:
* Don't give a shit because you don't live in California.
* If you live in California, leave California.
* If leaving is not an option, wait for a legal precedent for compliance has been set and implement the minimum requirements of the bill into your software (a very simple age bracket selection box during install will probably do more than enough).

What not to do:
* Already start proposing stupid and extremely deep implementations into xdg-desktop or d-bus. (Ubuntu)

What absolutely not to do:
* Freak the fuck out and relicense your entire codebase to a non-free software license because of a law not going into a effect for another year while you don't even live in California... (MidnightBSD)

@miko@sns.myxoz.net As a solo software developer that is easy to say because the chance of your specific software will go unnoticed and never gets sued is very high. But as a large organization there really is no way around it, so you just have to either leave California or do the minimum compliance or you stop existing.
Putting dumb actions taken by maintainers on the California bill aside.

The worst people in this whole thing to me are the fearmongers who didn't actually read the bill and are saying dumb clickbait shit like "YOU WILL NEED TO UPLOAD YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE AND TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR FACE TO USE LINUX SOON"
