Here’s the details on how registration will work:

Due to the regulations set by Portland Pride Parade, our contigent is limited to a total of 200 attendees. You will see options to march with two parties: Group 1️⃣ leading with inflatables and Group 2️⃣ with a fursuit focus! Don’t think too hard about which party to join - but preference options are there. We’ll have fun no matter what!

We have a registration fee of $20 to cover the costs associated to running this Pride March.

Most notably, we have a bus chartered! The bus will pick up from the end point of the march to an afterparty at Lucky Labrador Hawthorne

Please note we are ⚠️NOT⚠️ booked at Scamper’s usual Quimby site! The link provided does route to the correct site. The bus will serve dual purpose to transport attendees and storage to quickly tear down after the march.

There will be an option to request ridership on the bus during check out, but priority will be given to fullsuiters and folks with ADA needs!

The Lucky Labrador after party is open to all to come and enjoy, regardless if you marched or not! No registration required 😊 The afterparty is intended to give marchers a site to desuit, relax, and mingle. It will be set up with the usual Fursuiter focused accommodations including privacy tents and turbo fans.

We will have a commemorative bandana made to wear during the march! This one-time merch item will only be given to attendees who participated, and comes included with the registration. 🐾

Refunds will only be honored up until one week before the event, July 12th.

We have decided to push the Registration opening to a new target date of Monday, 25th. Let’s focus on enjoying Furlandia weekend instead 🏳️‍🌈

Highlights of Registration:

Your registration includes access to the Bus if needed. Please check the option on the checkout flow if you’d like to request bus access.

Lucky Lab afterparty does NOT require registration! That will be open to all.

There is no registration tiers - and everyone gets a Bandana for participating.

Hey Pride Marchers! 🏳️‍🌈

Registration is about a third of the way filled — thank you to everyone who's already signed up! We wanted to share a fuller picture of what the day will look like.

The March
The route is roughly one mile long. Both groups are meant to have people in fursuits, but Group A will be interacting with inflatables. We expect the route to take anywhere from 20-30 minutes to clear. Due to possible delays, it may take an hour or more until our march begins! There will be handlers with you the whole way to keep things running smoothly. At the end of the march, buses will be ready to whisk everyone over to the second half of the event, where you can desuit, decompress, and relax.

Group A – Inflatables Squad (GotF)

Group A leads the pack with a big, bombastic entrance — inflatables and all! Do you want to suit AND hold some inflatables? This is the group for you! Some marchers may be asked to help carry an inflatable down the route. Don't worry, you'll be fully set up for success. Your one job? Have fun with it! Just a heads up: please avoid booping the crowd or the inflatables — we want to keep everyone (including our inflatables!) safe and intact.

Group B – Fursuit Focus Squad (PLUSH x Scamper)
Group B is all about the fursuits! We may have a few inflatables joining our group as well, just to keep things looking cohesive.

Hey critters! I’ve got the official Pride plan outlined below. Thank you for the patience 😓

Arrive ready to rock!
When: Sunday, July 19th — parade kicks off at 11am
Where: Downtown Portland, about 1–1.5 miles of route (should take 20-30 min once we’re actually walking)
Our spot: We’re Contingent #80 and 81 Slabtown Scamper, Plush & GOTF.

As much as we would like the parade to start on time, it’s very likely we will be delayed. Prepare hydration and conserve your energy for the moment when we begin our march.

Rough timeline for the day
3 hrs before: Supervisors show up
2 hrs before: Handlers & Toysitters start setting up (tarps, toys, tents)
1 hr before: Everyone else meets at the staging spot (we’ll drop the exact location here on Telegram once Portland Pride tells us where!)
9:30am: All vehicles need to be in place
10:45am: All people need to be in place!

What to look forward to
A 15-foot inflatable Rainbow Serpent, a giant peacock, a purple gator, and more! Fursuiters, we’d love your help wrangling them. And no worries if you don’t have a suit or toy, you’re just as welcome to walk with us either way.

PLUSH’s float is bringing a DJ, and GOTF’s got a set from Avian Invasion lined up.

After we finish walking
There’ll be a cooldown/changing space plus a bus back to Lucky Lab. If you’re not suiting, we’d love your help keeping an eye on the toys while we deflate and pack up!

Some considerations
— Partial suiting is honestly a better call than full suiting, it’s July!
— Prepare your hydration! We expect Pride attendees to hand out water, but don’t count on it!
— Bathrooms will be port a potties.
— Going to the after-party? Park near the Lucky Lab and utilize public transit to head over to the staging area. Our reserved buses will ride you back to the afterparty at Lucky Lab Hawthorne! We have them booked to get marchers out as efficiently and safely as possible.
— We urge public transit! Traffic’s gonna be a mess and downtown parking will be full.
