It will be interesting to see what happens if the team supports NFTs on TON directly in the messenger. That would be an amazing way to stand out and customize your profiles (choosing the shape of your profile picture ain’t a joke!). And also how TON is actually easily integrated into the messenger ecosystem and demonstrates all of the blockchain’s capabilities.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, TON Community and Opulous are hosting a special competition in which we at Getgems are also involved in! So, what’s going on?

Opulous is a blockchain project that revolutionizes the modern music distribution game and allows musicians to earn money from their compositions with the help of crypto. They literally made a new “MFT” format for music-based collectibles!

🎈 Participants need to create an original piece of New Year-themed art (either a static picture or photo) that fits with the upcoming holiday theme. It could be anything from an ordinary New Year photo out of an old family album to a specially made image with TON symbols (this type of piece may have some competitive advantages!).

🎈 Next, you need to send the photo to this chat. We recommend you leave a small caption on the picture such as a comment, wish, or congratulations.

The winner will be selected by a special panel, and the winning piece will be minted on Getgems for auction with the first bid equivalent to $1,000. All participants will have a chance to win royalties from a special Christmas MFT released by the Star.One band, as well as one of 50 unique NFT art pieces from the same team. The 50 winners will be selected randomly.

We are always working hard to add useful features to our marketplace, and today we set up a “Filter by Collection” function for our profiles! 🗂

All profiles now have the ability to filter the NFTs they own according to specific collections. The filtering options are ordered according to size, from largest to smallest. The more NFTs you have from a collection, the higher it will appear in the filter list. You can easily check and uncheck filter boxes to see how many NFTs from each collection you own.

🗞 The most important news of the last week: For your convenience, our marketplace now supports bidding on Fragment auctions. Toncoin has now entered the top 20 at CoinMarketCap.

🗞 Punk City is opening a planetarium. TON Punks and Tonarchy have teamed up to create a joint contest with a prize pool of NFTs. All this has been done right before the upcoming Tonarchy sale.

🗞 TON Whales hosted a New Years mint! Only 100 whales from the project were offered, and all 100 whales have already found new owners. At the same time, the AMBR project token was listed on TonCAP.

🗞 G-BOTS continue to work on their NFT universe-themed comic. Their story has been updated with animated comics, which also come as NFTs.

Guess what we've been up to... 👀

Our previous post got a lot of interesting replies guessing about what we’ve been working on. Well, now it’s finally time to reveal our festive gift for all of you: New Year Eggs! 🥚

So, what’s the idea behind our new game? The point is that the holder of the last unbroken egg will receive a special prize — the whole fund collected from the NFT egg sales! 🤩

Let’s get into the details. We are adding some simple game mechanics into the NFTs on TON: Soon, eggs will be released in our marketplace, and each holder will be able to “bump” their egg into other eggs to see who wins. The eggs “knock” one another using a “rock-paper-scissors” game mechanic integrated right into the Getgems marketplace. You’ll find it on the page with an egg NFT. ✊✋✌️

If an egg does not break, it moves on to the next round with improved attributes, which will be displayed in the metadata of the NFT egg in the “Generation” field. This will go on until all the eggs have taken part and only one unbroken egg remains in the game!

Egg sales will start next week on our launchpad: https://getgems.io/launchpad/new_year_eggs and will be available for purchase in three phases:

🍳During the first phase, eggs will be available for purchase at 0.5 TON for False Gems owners. Up to 10 NFTs allowed per wallet.

🍳In the second phase, eggs will be available for 0.7 TON for Lottery Tickets holders for up to 6 NFTs.

🍳 Finally, public egg sales will begin for 1 TON for up to 2 NFTs.

A bit later, we will publish a post with details about the game.

Now let’s talk a little more about the game itself! As we explained earlier, eggs will “knock” each other using a rock-paper-scissors game mechanic. ✊✋✌️

The game will be organized into rounds, each lasting 24 hours. During each round, the eggs will be paired off, and only the eggs left unbroken will continue to the next round. This means that each round contains half as many eggs as the previous one.

Every day, a new round begins at 9:00 am UTC. Each round is divided into two stages: First, the “knocking” stage lasts 11 hours and 45 minutes — you have to make your move in the game, and during this time eggs cannot be traded.

Afterwards, in the second part of each round, we gather up the results, and egg trading opens for the remaining 11 hours and 45 minutes of the round.

The game will be available right there on the collection’s NFT page on the Getgems marketplace. In this block, you can choose your move: rock, paper, or scissors.

🥚If during the round you do not make a move, but your opponent does, then they automatically win.

🥚If both players do not make a move, the winner will be randomly chosen.

🥚If both players choose the same move, for example both players chose “rock✊,” you have to play again before the round ends.

The owner who manages to break his opponent’s egg will win this round, improve the Generation attribute of their egg, and move on to the next round. A broken egg will have its Egg attribute changed from Perfect to Damaged and can no longer participate in the game.

And, of course, the prices of the Unbroken eggs will rise as the more rounds an egg survives. The more rounds the egg goes through, the higher the chance that it will reach the final and win the whole fund! Therefore, we recommend you not to ignore the secondary markets between the initial launchpad purchases and the final round! 🙂

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about when we’re going to start selling the Eggs for our New Year’s competition. The time has finally come to give you the specifics! Some of you requested to extend the sale to make sure there will be enough time for everyone to get their NFT Egg, and so that is exactly what we’ve done!

As we explained earlier, sales will be held on the launchpad page according to the following schedule:

📎 For False Gems holders: Sales will start on Dec. 28 at 9:00 am UTC and will last until Dec. 29, 8:59 am UTC. They are eligible for up to 10 NFTs at 0.5 TON each.

📎 For Lottery tickets holders: Sales will start on Dec. 29 at 9:00 am UTC and will last until Dec. 31, 8:59 am UTC. They are eligible for up to 6 NFTs at 0.7 TON each.

📎 The public sale, where anyone can participate, will start on Dec. 31 at 9:00 am UTC and will last until Jan. 9 at 9:00 am UTC. Buyers can get up to 2 NFTs per wallet for 1 TON each.

Please remember that you can only purchase a maximum of 10 NFT Eggs, and the best option is to get a False Gem in order to access the first sale stage and get your 10 Eggs at a discounted price. Besides this, owning a Lottery Ticket entitles the owner to buy 6 NFTs. However, the longer you wait, the higher prices will be, so hurry up!
