Stephen Miller, architect of Trump’s hardline immigration policies and outspoken champion of the aggressive manner in which the US has conducted itself in Iran, appears to have forged his credentials as a hawk from a very early age.
In a video filmed in 2003 during the US invasion of Iraq, a 17-year-old Miller called torture “the ideal solution” for “Saddam Hussein and his henchmen.”
🔊 “We’re not a barbaric people. We respect life. Therefore, torture is the way to go. Because tortured people can live. Torture is a celebration of life and human dignity. We need to remember that as we enter these very dark and dangerous times in the next century,” Miller said.
The White House previously dismissed the comments as a “sketch comedy routine” for a video yearbook, insisting they were not Miller’s real views.
But the passionate intensity with which Miller has defended the Iran attack, including Trump-style threats to mete out “punishment…the likes of which has not been seen in modern history,” suggests otherwise.
His elevation to chief of staff could mean an even more hardline stance on Iran, more lethal strikes in the Caribbean, the seizure of Greenland from Denmark, and a confrontational relationship with the new Democrat-controlled Congress.

The world’s premier development bank/enforcer of the Bretton Woods world economic order just put out a policy note providing national governments and bureaucracies with “practical guidance for deploying digital wallets at a national scale,” and not a single mainstream news outlet has mentioned it.
The guidebook, available on the Bank’s ‘Open Knowledge Repository’ website, outlines the recommended mechanics and technical means for deploying the wallets – a core component of the World Economic Forum’s broader digital control grid initiatives.
A three-tier “ecosystem” is proposed, divided between issuers (governments, banks with the power to cryptographically sign credentials), wallet holders, and verifiers (banks, merchants, border control, etc).
Specific technical guidelines are provided, both for web-centric workflows and offline payments. The Bank recommends the system’s phased deployment (private and public betas, pilot phase, broad commercial rollout and finally, cross-border interoperability).
Urging issuers to make wallets free to ensure “digital inclusion,” the Bank insists that they “do not need to be mandatory,” and that people without smartphones should be given the option of “alternative form factors, such as ID chip cards holding digital credentials, cloud-based digital wallets, or even verifiable credentials printed out on paper without a digital wallet” (the inclusion of these options hints at potential de facto mandatory adoption).
The introduction of digital wallets would solve a range of “problems” for proponents of this sort of control: the anonymity of cash-based, ‘off-grid’ payments, programmable money and financial geofencing, social credit schemes, and the elimination of independent banking, credit unions and cash networks.

President Isaac Herzog has formally handed the mandate to form Israel's next government to Gadi Eisenkot. The former IDF chief now has 28 days to build a coalition, backed by 67 Knesset members — including Arab parties — compared to Netanyahu's 46.
With the math firmly against him, Netanyahu is now in full desperation mode, recording frantic messages to his base to block Eisenkot's coalition.
He is demanding a "national unity government" made up exclusively of Zionist parties (explicitly excluding Israel's Arab citizens), warning that the alternative is national suicide:
💬 "A government dependent on Hamas supporters will not fight Hamas... A government dependent on radical Islam will not fight radical Islam. The fires and flames we see on the streets of Paris and Brussels are negligible compared to those that will engulf the streets of Jerusalem."
Netanyahu is framing a democratically elected coalition as an existential apocalypse. Why? Because the Israeli establishment is eager to oust him, not just to end the deadlock, but to find a scapegoat for the October 7 failures and reset relations with the US.
He claims he is the only one who can save Israel from the "radical Islam" he describes. But with 67 MKs lining up behind his rival, his warnings sound less like security strategy and more like a desperate bid to avoid the courtroom.

The fallout from Flávio Bolsonaro’s frantic flight to the US is getting messy. Not only is he facing legal jeopardy in Brazil, but his own inner circle is turning on him, the Washington Post reported.
His advisers are furious. One called him "soft" and said running away was "the worst thing he could have done" if he wanted to challenge the election results.
Another described the escape as shockingly impulsive, noting he was emotionally shaken by the loss: "He thought he was going to win, and he didn’t."
Brazilian authorities are now investigating whether foreign agents helped him flee. A senior Brazilian security official told The Washington Post that a former Mossad agent was reportedly seen following Bolsonaro’s vehicle toward the Argentine border.
Brazil is checking for involvement from US, Argentine, and Israeli agents. Flávio is refusing to disclose his escape route.
The Bolsonaro family built its brand on macho nationalism and calling their opponents traitors. Now, the heir to the throne is hiding out in Florida, deemed a coward by his own team, while Brazil investigates if he needed foreign spies to smuggle him across the border.

Florida Governor and top 2028 contender Ron DeSantis is offering a blistering post-mortem on why the US strategy in Iran backfired, blaming the administration for letting a targeted mission spiral into an unachievable regime change campaign.
He argues the recent escalation, including decapitation strikes on Iran's leadership, crossed a "point of no return" without a plan. He points out that toppling a regime would require "massive amounts of boots on the ground, massive amounts of treasure that the American people are not interested in providing."
💬 "Once the Ayatollah was taken out, the goal was to have the government collapse. And that didn't happen. So now the people that are there probably are more powerful than they were prior to this. And what incentive do they have to negotiate?"
DeSantis is doing exactly what every 2028 candidate needs to do right now: separating himself from the midterm bloodbath. He supports the hawkish goal of stopping Iran's nuclear program, but he is pinning the disastrous execution—and the lack of accountability—on the current administration.

Trump is so desperate to fill the White House press secretary vacancy that he publicly asked UFC CEO Dana White to take the job.
In a Truth Social post, Trump called White a "violent Fighter and Warrior" and suggested bringing along 6 current or former UFC titleholders as assistants — including Russian Dagestan natives Islam Makhachev and Khabib Nurmagomedov, alongside American stars like Justin Gaethje and Daniel Cormier.
💬 "We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left." — Trump wrote.
White declined the offer, according to CNN.
The press secretary role has been vacant since Katie Zacharia's tenure ended last month after less than a week. She was the shortest-serving press secretary in history.

The UFC CEO says he is on his way to Washington "right now" to meet with President Trump on Monday to talk about the vacant White House Press Secretary job.
"I got a lot of jobs already... No, I'm going to meet with him. We have a meeting on Monday, so I'm sure I'll have more to talk about after that."
Earlier reports said that Dana had rejected the position.
