BREAKING:

πŸ‡·πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ The war in Ukraine is escalating to its maximum, NATO will no longer restrict Ukraine from long-range missiles

Germany lifts all range restrictions on long-range weapons supplied to Ukraine.

German Chancellor Merz:

"There are no longer any range restrictions on weapons supplied to Ukraine - neither by the British, nor by the French, nor by us, nor by the Americans. This means that Ukraine can now defend itself, including, for example, by striking military positions on Russian territory. Until a certain point, it could not do this,"

πŸ‡·πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Russia is considering hitting targets in Berlin - Russia Today

Russia is considering hitting targets in Berlin after Merz authorized Ukraine to strike Moscow with German long-range missiles - Margarita Simonyan, Editor-in-chief of Russia Today wrote.

"In Moscow offices they are discussing that if the German military will strike Moscow with German weapons (and permission to strike with Tauruses can only mean this, since the bosses can neither service them nor enter a flight mission), then we have no choice but to strike Berlin."

US to Escort Civilian Ships Using USVs and UAVs

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) of the US Department of Defense has unveiled the concept for the Pulling Guard program, which aims to create a system to protect unarmed cargo ships from potential threats, primarily unmanned surface vehicles (USVs).

Development will take 18 months. Supplier selection, system integration, production, and transition to commercial operation will take 21 months (total timeline: 3 years and 2 months).

Pulling Guard will consist of a situational awareness system combined with semi-autonomous unmanned surveillance/escort platforms (USVs and UAVs). These platforms will be equipped with target detection and identification sensors (using AI) and missile armaments, including:
- Poniard anti-ship missiles,
- AGR-20 (APKWS II) laser-guided missiles,
- FIM-92 Stinger missiles,
- AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles,
- AGM-179 (JAGM) multi-purpose missiles,
- Tamir surface-to-air missiles.

USV operations will be managed by military operators. The vessels themselves will be stationed and maintained on secure military support ships and naval bases, from where they will be deployed for missions.

- USVs must have a range of at least 14 days at 14 knots (or 8 days at 24 knots).
- Each USV must achieve an 85% effectiveness rate in neutralizing three enemy USVs.

Notably, DARPA envisions the safe escort of ships as a future commercial service that the US will provide to other countries and companies. While the Pulling Guard systems will be commercially owned, they will remain under the control of the Department of Defense and can be used for state missions when needed β€” similar to how SpaceX operates its Starlink communication system.

This solution appears revolutionary and fundamentally transforms the existing security framework for ensuring safe shipping. The US is positioning itself as a global leader in this domain. Moreover, the approach is considered significantly more cost-effective than traditional ship escort and protection methods using military vessels and aircraft.

Trump’s Sons Turn Into Fake Billionaires

Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have developed an interesting practice. First, they acquire more than a 5% stake in small, often unprofitable companies (enough to officially report their holdings to the SEC). Then, they announce that they’ve joined the company’s advisory board to improve its business β€” even if the company never had such a board to begin with.

After this maneuver in February, shares of the obscure investment firm Dominari Holdings soared by 80%. At their peak, the value of the brothers' stakes reached $8 billion each on paper.

Dominari, which operates from the 22nd floor of Trump Tower, is run by regular visitors of Donald Trump Sr.’s golf club. Over the past few years, the company has generated $70 million in losses. Investigations were launched against Dominari's managers for allegedly pressuring clients into investments using "boiler room" tactics.

The company specializes in underwriting (taking public) shady Chinese startups, half of which go bankrupt within their first year.

Last year, Donald Trump Jr. publicly joined the advisory board of drone manufacturer Unusual Machines, sparking a PR campaign. Following his involvement, the company’s shares tripled in value. Trump claimed he would help Unusual relocate its drone production to the U.S. Previously assembled in China, the drones are now being "made" in Americaβ€”using Chinese components. Somewhere, we've seen this before β€” but that’s beside the point. The real question is whether the president’s son’s consultancy is worth the $2 million stake in the company.

What else is in his investment portfolio?

- PublicSq: A conservative marketplace. Still unprofitable.
- World Liberty Financial (WLF): A crypto company whose illiquid token is one of the last coins anyone would recommend investing in. Despite $550 million in investments, the company has lost about 89% of its value.
- 1789 Capital: A venture fund investing in companies that align with conservative agendas and ignore ESG principles. It doesn’t publish reports.
- Firehawk Aerospace: A rocket engine developer funded by 1789 Capital. Still unprofitable.
- BlinkRx: An online prescription drug delivery service. Though currently unprofitable, it has high growth potential and is valued at $2 billion.
- Eden Green: A hydroponics company building vertical farms for plant cultivation. This is the only profitable company in Trump Jr.'s portfolio and aligns with ESG values.

Any banker looking at the younger Trump’s portfolio would only lend him money if they wanted to bribe the president. No one else with such a collection of illiquid assets would get a loan.

But for non-experts, Trump Jr. can impress with account statements showing he owns billions of dollars in securities β€” on paper, at least.
