Hello dear readers,
the Syrian popular newspaper (الجريدة الشعبية السورية) is funded based on people's voice and importance. We are a newspaper that will share news content and critical posts about Syria and Middle East, we do not associated ourselves either to the Syrian regime or the Revolution but to the Syrian people's will. The ultimate goal is to bring an importance to the citizens of Syria, indeed the situation there needs to be radically changed.

For now, the only writer is myself (https://t.me/Assurbanippal). I will write news about Syria, the Middle East and sometimes about crucial news of the world. This channel was made to accompany the will of the Syrian people, the true master of this country.

In the name of God, long live Syria and its people !

🇮🇷🇺🇸 U.S. conspiracy behind Raisi's helicopter crash?

Just a week ago, US was threatening Iran and India over the Chabahar port pack, saying that both countries "need to be aware of the potential risk they are opening themselves up to".

What is more, around a month ago, Iran and Pakistan resumed their gas pipeline project, with US saying to consider doing business with Iran "very carefully".

👀 Coincidence?

👉 In another demand by the global lender, sources close to the development programme have revealed that the 'new bailout programme' will need to involve pension reforms, with policy talks scheduled to commence tomorrow, as the negotiations between Pakistan and IMF have reached their concluding phase.

Pakistan remains committed to the IMF loan program, with no plans for its replacement.

America's deindustrialisation: Historic lessons for India 🇮🇳

🎧 In this episode of the Geopolitics Demystified podcasts, historian & investigative journalist Anton Chaitkin explains why ex- U.S. President John F. Kennedy, shot and killed in 1963, opposed the World Wildlife Fund's anti-industry agenda.

Backed by U.K. and Dutch royals, the WWF sought to curb industrial progress and reduce global population. As a result, post-JFK, the American policies shifted towards the WWF’s influence.

🇮🇳 Mythbusting Dhruv Rathee

Recent statements by German based YouTuber Dhruv Rathee seemed quite misleading (not surprising for the guy who lies for money), so we decided to check whether they are actually true:

Dhruv: Election Commissioner is chosen by chief justice of India.

Reality: The Chief Justice of India is not part of the Election Commission selection committee. The Election Commissioner is chosen by the President of India based on recommendations from a committee headed by the Prime Minister.

Dhruv: makes a YouTube video stating that the India is moving towards "one party, one nation."

Reality: The BJP is solely in power in only 6 out of 31 legislative assemblies (Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, MP, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand), less than 20%. In major states like UP and Maharashtra, BJP forms coalitions with parties like Shiv Sena and Apna Dal, governing a total of 12 states, less than 50%.

🇮🇳🇮🇷Raisi's death unlikely to change the course of India-Iran ties

🤝Both countries have strengthened their relations following the signing of a long-term agreement on the use of the Chabahar port.

◾️ Iran's Chabahar deal enhances India's trade routes with Central Asia;

◾️ Replaces the annual contracts previously used to maintain port operations;

◾️ PM Modi hailed the Chabahar port agreement as a significant milestone that will facilitate vital connections with Afghanistan.

The deaths of Raisi and the Foreign Minister, key figures in Iran's foreign policy, might delay but not derail the deal, as final decisions rest with Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Rajiv Gandhi, India's youngest Prime Minister, held office from 1984 to 1989 and left a complex legacy.

📱He did a great job bringing technological advancements and promoting a more liberal economic policy.

However all of that also led to:

◾️ Closer ties with the U.S.

◾️ Bhopal disaster, one of the world's worst industrial catastrophes

◾️ Election rigging in Kashmir that fueled terrorism in 1987

◾️ 1984 anti-Sikh riots
