If you are running multiple servers with same license number please contact support to issue you additional license keys. Running multiple servers with same license key may lead to errors including invoicing issues.
Dear Customers,
As you may have noticed invoices for cloud/local server license fees and support fees are from 20.10.2019 issued by our sister company GENERAL BYTES PANAMA based in Panama(full address is on our website).
We decided to invoice such fees from outside of US and EU to prevent interpretation that GENERAL BYTES company is a party involved in the money exchange transaction and therefore may need US or EU money service business license in some member states.
You and us understand that license and support fees have nothing to do with money service business requirement even when fees are calculated as percentage from turnover.
However some tax authorities may not align with such interpretation in future and we would like to be prepared for that.
Invoices are currently payable only using BTC and next month LBTC support will be introduced too.
We decided to go with crypto-currency only option to lower your and our transaction costs while keeping transaction speed high.
Panama is not only tax friendly. But the legislation additionally allows companies to choose accounting currency of their choice - in our case BTC.
BTC is at this moment more liquid for GB then USD/EUR and allows us to pay developer or support engineer anywhere in the world with low transaction and tax cost.
Please note that payments for machines and accessories can be still paid with USD, EUR or BTC and are invoiced from GENERAL BYTES or GENERAL BYTES USA.

If you are using our cloud service you have probably received today invoices from years 2017, 2018 and 2019 that we didn't send you in past due to their amounts - mostly under 1 USD. Paying such invoices in past with BTC (or wire) would not be efficient due to high mining fee when compared to invoicing amount.

Today when cloud invoices can be easily paid with bitcoin lightning with close to zero network fees we thought it is a good time to publish them.

Please consider paying these microinvoices for services delivered for you in past as a challenge to learn how bitcoin lightning works and how easy it is to pay with it. Thank you.
