Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman said: I visited my father when I was very sad.
He said: What’s wrong?
I said: A friend of mine died.
He replied: Did he die on the Sunnah?
I said yes.
He said: Then don’t fear for him!

The Prophet said: None of you should ever die except while assuming the best about Allaah.

Ḥasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله used to say: "The grave eats up the bones and meat, but doesn't eat up the Iman.

Shaykh as-Sa’dī رحمه الله said in Tafseer of this Āyah: “For indeed the Jāhil (ignorant one) utters speech which has no benefit in it and he is the one WHO MAKES FUN OF PEOPLE.”
